Cask conditioned handpump Wig & Pen Northampton 13/09/12. A chestnut brown coloured beer with a whitish head and a little lace. Dry malty and nutty with hints of coffee in the nose. On the sweet side with husky flavours. A little acidity in the nose, Heading towards a brown ale.

Cask, handpump at The Brasenose, Cropredy Festival, Oxon Saturday 11th August 2012 Pours dark brown with off-white head. Dark fruits and heavy maltiness from this beer, with a middling bitterness. Touch chewy and with plenty of caramel and fruitiness, not totally my thing but it was in good nick, well served and fine enough. A6 A4 T5 P3 Ov11 2.9
