COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This American-style Pale Ale is brewed in true California fashion. Pale golden in color with a hoppy bouquet of orange blossom, honeydew and grapefruit zest, this light to medium-bodied brew has a light, bread-like character and finishes dry, with lingering notes of green tea and passionfruit.

Bottle. Pours with a crystal clear orange hued body with a very small and fading white head that fades to a ring and leaves low lace. Thankfully the appearance is probably the weakest aspect of this beer. Aromas show a massive hop bouquet, herbal, tangerine, spicy citrus, baked apple, low malt. Very nice indeed! Flavors show a medium to medium light bitterness, but lots of hop character: floral, tangerine, zesty citrus, lightly faded melon, very light malt, low esters. Obviously very fresh hop wise, but there is a very light oxidative character already showing in the bottle. It is only very slight and out of place (possibly a bottling issue). Lower carbonation, medium bodied and dry. Surprisingly good!

On tap at Noble. It pours a golden color with a thick white head. The aroma has strong citrus and tropical fruit. The flavor is a good balance of light, bready malt and floral, citrusy hops. Nice standard APA.

bottle thanks to womencantsail. nose is zesty with a slight dank to it, but more grapefruit/cascade than anything else. pours a slightly hazy light orange with minimal head. taste is initially bitter, but smooths out with some light cracker malt sweetness, but not too much. hop flavor is almost lemon like, almost pithy in the finish. bitterness comes back in the end to kind of dry out, almost astringent like. pretty good, but I think I would tone down the hops a touch. This feels like a 65IBU pale ale. hi Noble ale works, meet your doppelganger Dales pale ale.

Bottle shared by my friend John. Pours cloudy blonde with a modest beige head and a floral aroma. There is a full-bodied pale malt flavor with lots of bitterness and some orange blossom tang. Green tea is a nice addition.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours hazy gold with a white foam head. Great stuff, lots of dry citrus fruits, nips of piney bitterness. Light to medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Nicely balanced on the finish, moderately sweet pale malts, further citrus. Good one.

On tap at the brewery. Semi hazy yellow pour, with a white head. Citrus, grain, light caramel, and a bit soapy. Pretty bland and boring.

On tap it has a dark amber color with a nice head. Aroma has some grapefruit and oranges along with some hops. Taste has some citrus, malts and a bitterness on the backend. Good beer.

UPDATED: SEP 25, 2013 A solid APA. Stronger flavor than the aroma would lead you to believe. Has nice hop character and drinks easily at 5.0%. You could easily session a few of these on a sunny day. This is becoming a regular buy for me, and if you like IPAs but are looking for something just a bit lighter you should give it a try.

Pours a light copper color with a dirty melon aroma. Taste is of grapefruit mixed with hops. A slight bitter aftertaste with a hint of green tea after the swallow. A good pale ale that had some complexities to it.

Bottle:   Dirty straw, orange hued, fine sediment abounds, soft white frothy head, spotty lacing.   Pale hop nose, a little citrusy.   Soft citrus peel and pith on the tongue, slight earthy malt profile.   Make that soily.   Reminds me of the old days with organic malts, how earthy and soily they were.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Quick finish, and soft.   Not a bruiser, middle of the road, but could use a little less soil/earth in my book.   Otherwise decent.
