Citra is our first choice for our new Double IPA series that showcases our favorite hop varieties, one by one, with each consecutive release. This hop bursts with juicy layers of mango, lemongrass, and grapefruit. Look forward to many upcoming releases within this series of single hopped Double IPAs.

Tasted from bottle. Pours a pale slightly hazy gold with thick white head. Aroma is big time citrus fruit. Lemon, grapefruit, orange, mango. Taste is a moderate to heavily bitter with nice malt backbone. Flavors of grapefruit, lemon, pine, caramel, grass. Excellent imperial IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours translucent gold with a foamy white head. Aroma of dank mango. Well, not exactly, but that came to mind. Full bodiedk, or close. Flavor is dank hop, mango, strong citrus, and low key sweet caramel. Overall it’s incredibly hoppy, close to dry, and reasonably bitter. Basically it is ale candy. Yummy stuff.

Bottle share at Capitol Beer & Tap Room. Pours cloudy blonde with a nice white head and a citrus aroma. There is a very substantial and tasty pale malt base surrounded by perfectly moderate cotra bitterness. A pleasure to drink.

On tap at Noble before my first Angels game of the season. Pours a deep orange with small white head. Aroma is dank, tropical fruit. Pineapple for sure. Taste is a little more muted on the mango, pineapple and lemon but way more than most DIPA out there. Great resinous lingering bitter finish. Another great beer in the series.
