COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Citra is our first choice for our new Double IPA series that showcases our favorite hop varieties, one by one, with each consecutive release. This hop bursts with juicy layers of mango, lemongrass, and grapefruit. Look forward to many upcoming releases within this series of single hopped Double IPAs.

On tap at Noble. It pours a clear golden pale orange color with an off white head. The aroma is very spicy and floral with some passionfruit notes. Light hints of caramel. The flavor is a bit caramel forward with some spicy hop notes. Clean and pretty dry, but the Citra doesn’t shine as much as I’d hoped.

Draft - Piney and Mandarin notes. Clear gold with a rich white head. Sweet grassy notes and more Mandarin. Well balanced and the ABV is hidden nicely.

Circus and pine aroma. Hazy dark orange pour no real head but well carbonated. Taste very hoppy and leak grassy. Very clean and freshly hopped. Really good brew.

Pours medium orange with a one finger white head with excellent lacing. Aroma is of freshly squeezed citrus, juicy tropical fruits, grassy hops, herbal hops, melon, and light bready malts. Taste is about the same as the aroma. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a moderately bitter, semi dry, medium-limg finish Overall, a excellent DIPA that shows how great citra hops are.

My god this is some fucken God nectar right here. Fresh bottle. Pours a deep gold color with minimal head. Aromas of pure dole fruit juice. Taste is an explosion of tropical hops, juicy, abundant. Sweet clementines, maraschino cherry, sugary lemons. Alcohol? What alcohol? Tropical low bitterness God nectar. Mind = blown.

Pours a hazy pale golden orange color with dark straw colored edges and a two finger, pillowy white head that very slow settles into a thick, lasting ring. Very good retention with streaks of soapy lacing coating the glass on the way down. Dank juicy hop aroma that’s bursting with resinous oils and tropical/citrus fruit sweetness. Uber-fresh juicy nuggets with fresh cut grass, pine needle, spruce tip and subtle onion-y summit. The earthy, grassy notes really stand out but are perfectly countered by the sweeter fruit notes. Very tropical with hints of grapefruit, mango, papaya, pineapple and blood orange sweetness followed by a subtle pale malt backbone. I’m picking up a touch of biscuit along with toast and graham cracker but the lighter malt notes do not interfere in any way with the glorious hop profile. One of the dankest, freshest smelling IPAs I’ve come across. I don’t know how the aroma could be improved. Smells amazing! Full bodied with a blast of dank, resinous hop bitterness that lingers over the sweeter hop notes and subtle malt backbone into a bone dry finish. Pretty much perfectly balanced with dry, grassy pine needle flavor along with some earthy spruce tip and a touch of onion-y summit hops countered by juicy citrus/tropical fruit sweetness. Strong grapefruit flavor along with hints of mango, papaya, blood orange, curaçao and pineapple sweetness before finishing with subtle pale malt and a touch of boozy heat. The malt bill is present in the palate but doesn’t hinder the intense hop flavors. Subtle hints of biscuit, bread, graham cracker and caramel. Just enough sweetness and alcohol to counter the intense hop bitterness. There is just a touch of heat toward the end of the palate but it’s nicely masked at 8.8%. Deceptively drinkable because of the complexity and delicious combination of flavors. I could drink this all day and wish that I had regular access to this brewery in Philadelphia. An amazing beer that I highly recommend to any hophead. Incredible!

A damn near world-class citra dipa. I think it could stand to be more aromatic and thus more flavorful but there’s nothing wrong with it otherwise and it hides its alcohol content rather well.

Appearance was clear orangish gold with creamy white diminishing 1 finger head, spotty lacing. Aromas are soft pineapple, lemon, grapefruit, mango with soft biscuit malts, hints of alcohol. Taste are lemon, grapefruit, juicy pineapple and mango upfront with meaty biscuit malt middle. Soft pine resin and alcoholic finish. Overall an outstanding DIPA, try it.

Tap, gold pour, white head, nose and taste are super citrus, hoppy, bitter, grassy, wow
