3rd Dip (6 months) on tap at Noble. Pours with a hazed brown hued body with a lasting off-white head. Aromas are of brown sugar, whiskey, rye, tannins, raisins, dates and tobacco. Flavors are chewy with brown sugar, molasses, alcohol, cola and dates. Lots of toasty barrel notes with a tannic finish and medium-low carbonation. Moderate heat.

This was one fifth of an excellent taster tray. A substantial but not overwhelming base of a strong ale that tastes like it was dosed with coconut and rye. Very smooth with a touch of heat.

Mahogany pour with a tan head. Sweet vanilla, lots of the whiskey, oak, and sweet caramel. Some dark fruits, a hint of booze, and a nice chocolate note. The flavor has a great vanilla and whiskey character. Nice rye, chocolate, caramel, and dark fruits. Some brown sugar, mild alcohol, and hints of wood.
