4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nitro pour at Mohawk Bend. Infinite dark mocha retention. Inkier color. Looking boss. Richer dark chocolate nose with piney hop. Taste is silky, wow much better than expected. Super rich and ultra creamy mouthfeel but heavy body and Black IPA type of pine hop balance. Really solid, in fact, the best nitro RIS I’ve ever had. Shockingly good.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
The pours is so thick and black, looks like a waterfall of nitro bubbles in the blackness and produces a thick two finger head. The nose is coffee, licorice, chocolate and wood chips. The taste is high sweet and medium bitter. Excellent. The texture is smooth as silk, creamy. Heavy body and a very long finish.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma is very nutty with some hinted mocha and toffee. Black in color with nice lacing. Taste follows aroma. Strong nutty/pistachio overtones with a nice toffee, charcoal, cocoa and coffee base. Overall, interesting take on an imperial stout. I like it, it’s not your standard imperial stout. I’d give this an A rating.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Mohawk Bend, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, oats, and a bit of chocolate. Flavour of chocolate, roasted malts, and some lingering hops. Full-bodied and smooth because of the nitro. Quite roasty and hoppy.

Opaque black beer, good tan head. Smooth palate but with fine carbonation.Rich dark malt with mild roast and mild bitterness. Coffee. Trace of hops coming through in the finish which is semi dry. Bitter roast malt and hop bitterness in the aftertaste. Trace of dark chocolate. Quite drinkable but a little rough round the edges.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle thanks to Kasey! Pours black. Head is small and non lasting. Nose is intensely roasty, chocolate, come coffee beans, with rich breadiness and various fruity eaters. Flavor is medium sweet but finishes moderately heavy bitterness and mild roasted acridness. Full body-chewy and slick. wasn’t big on the aroma but overall impression makes up for it.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
This is a pretty solid imperial stout all the way through. Thick and chewy, but not heavy and not all that strong either. Quite acceptable stuff.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours with a dark brown hued body with lightly reddish highlights. Some clarity. Oddly light for an RIS. Medium to large tan head lasts and leaves some lace. Aromas are malt forward: nutty, bready, biscuit, lightly earthy, low roast, chocolate, baked breads, very low dark fruit character. Hop aroma is low, lightly earthy, medium toasted character. Overall malty balance. Flavors are roasted, burnt malt character, lightly nutty, medium alcohol. Lasting tar like through the duration. Some bitterness (which seems to come equally from the malt as well as the hops), low dark fruit character, bitter balance, relatively dry. Light astringency, medium full bodied, lightly creamy, but not very full or velvety. Light warmth, on the drier edge of the Imperial Stout spectrum. Moderate carbonation.
