2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20Post Pilates beer #4. Nice rich colour, frothy head. Sweet malty base wih a malty backbone. Fresh orangy citrus pops in and out. Slightly peppery as well. Slight grains. Tricky picking things up as the kitchen continues to pump out crazy aroma. Malty with an odd combo of hops that don’t quite fit. Pepper bite and zip, pumpkin spice creeps into my head but it doesn’t quite go there, caramel, side thoughts of grain, misplaced fruity something, proper bitterness. Meh. A big meh.

Draft - nice roasted malts on the nose. Clear amber with a thin but persistent head. Tastes just like it smells. Rich toasted malts a bitter bite and grain finish. A ver good clean, classic example. You get exactly what you expect, which now is considered unexpected.

Tap@Noble Pig brewhouse, Kamloops, Canada. Darkish reddish brown beer with a light head. The aroma is hopped and fruity, and the flavoue is hopped and bitter with some roastedness and molasses. Overall a nice well flavoured beer.

Pint on tap at the brewhouse pours amber in color with a finger of white head that leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Mild caramel aroma with some grass and floral notes. Taste is caramel malty sweetness with a mild grassy hop bitterness. A fairly nice English style bitter, but needs a bolder hop kick to make it even better.

Sample glass. Dark copper, almost brown. Sice scent with hints of brown sugar and cake with a touch of chocolate. Nice body. Flavour is quiet at first but then the flavours of the big malt bill pick up. All the notes from the scent arrive on the tongue. Great malt profile although I wouldn’t mind a couple more IBUs.
