3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Ferris (564) - Edmonton, Alberta, - FEB 8, 2013Draft - Semi dark chocolate and roasted malts. Opaque black with a long lasting small brown head. Chocolate dominates, but with without the bitterness that can sometimes follow. There is a odd taste of sweetness in the finish, that isn’t bad but sticks out. Decent.

Tap@Noble Pig brewhouse, Kamloops, Canada. Blackish brownish beer with a light head. The aroma is lightly roasted, and the flavour had a reasonable degree of expresso coffee bitterness. Overall a nice well flavoured roasted porter.

Pint on tap at the brewhouse pours a dark brown color with a finger of off-white head that leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is light chocolate with some roasted grains and hints of coffee and floral notes. Taste is chocolate malt sweetness with hints of coffee and roasted barley bitterness. Medium bodied with modest carbonation leaving a decent sensation on the palate. An easy drinking porter style ale which is recommended.
