Delirium (433), Santa Cruz, California, USA May 20, 2006 Updated: Sep 7, 2006 Draught. Pours clear reddish-amber with minimal head. Aroma is pretty weak and mostly semi-sweet malt. Flavor is similar; very malty, with a bit of sweetness, and a tiny but barely noticeable hint of hops. Their pilsener is better, but this is not bad. Incidentally, this is distributed under a number of names through southern Hokkaido, so if you see an unidentified red/amber ale advertised as a "local beer" (ji-biiru), this is probably the one.
theisti (1091), Leawood, Kansas, USA May 8, 2008 12 oz. can brought back from Japan and generously shared by hogfodder with myself and after4ever on 3/20/08. Pour is amber - brown with no head. Aroma of wet dirt and garbage pretty bad. Taste is the nose plus some over ripe fruitiness. Rough finish.
