theisti (953), Leawood, Kansas, USA May 8, 2008 12 oz. can brought back from Japan and generously shared by hogfodder with myself and after4ever on 3/20/08. Pour is amber - brown with no head. Aroma of wet dirt and garbage pretty bad. Taste is the nose plus some over ripe fruitiness. Rough finish.
Delirium (404), Santa Cruz, California, USA May 20, 2006 Updated: Sep 7, 2006Draught. Pours clear reddish-amber with minimal head. Aroma is pretty weak and mostly semi-sweet malt. Flavor is similar; very malty, with a bit of sweetness, and a tiny but barely noticeable hint of hops. Their pilsener is better, but this is not bad. Incidentally, this is distributed under a number of names through southern Hokkaido, so if you see an unidentified red/amber ale advertised as a "local beer" (ji-biiru), this is probably the one.
