lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA Mar 16, 2008 bottle courtesy of fly. Thanks!
Pours a clear maroon color with a medium sized beige head. Smell is toasty caramel like malt. Taste is nutty and toasty flavored malt with a hint of bitterness. Medium bodied and pretty decent actually for what I expected. Flavor ist still on the thin side, but not bad. elgavilancillo (63), South Gate, California, USA Feb 4, 2008 nice dark amber winter brew from mexico i liked it down to the toffe and caramel hints 184601 (143), Mexicali, Mexico Jan 1, 2008 Pours an amber to brown body, with white head, caramel notes, good hops, too carbonated for my taste.Good but wont drink this next Christmas papajohn (1054), San Diego (Mira Mesa), California, USA Dec 10, 2007 355 ml bottle (’07) from a friend at work who lives in Mexico: Deep amber color with a fading light tan head. Medium body is spritzy with lively carbonation. pumpmaster (473), Pembroke Pines, Florida, USA Oct 25, 2007 12 ounce bottle. A favorite at Christmas season. Icommonsewer (122), TUCSON, Arizona, USA Aug 28, 2007 Updated: Aug 29, 2007a wonderful seasonal brew that is fairly hard to find, but absolutely one of the best brews from Mexico! rugbydude05 (280), Kew Gardens, New York, USA Aug 24, 2007 Ive had this beer many times at my fiancee’s house during the Christmas season and it remains one of my favorite mexican brews. Great aroma and taste and unlike many other domestic beers has no bad aftertaste. Poperinge (359), Cowtown, Alberta, Canada Mar 4, 2007 Sadly and no apologizes to Casta this is the best Mexican beer that I have had. Thin watery and a little bit nutty speaking of which thank you Mr Nuttall for both bottles of this. page 318 of Michael Jackson’s Great Beer Guide and only 316 out of his 500 Classic Brews to go.
