I don´t know what the last guy who reviewed this beer is talking about, AdolfoCC. His pallete must be fucked up. AROMA: This beer has an aroma of dark malts, caramel sweetness, and a whisper of noble hops. APPEARANCE: A dark ruby red, on par with the style, which should be labled as a bock style beer, not a vienna lager, way darker than a vienna lager. TASTE: Dark roasted malts, slight tinge of noble hops, toffee and caramel, tiny hint of dark fruits, not complex but not too simple. Perfect for putting down a few or six. PALATE/MOUTHFEEL: Goes down smoothly and slightly fizzy like a Mexican coke, slightly creamy too. OVERALL: This beer is one of Mexico´s best DOMESTIC beers, the Mexican craft beer scene is very wild at the moment, with many Mexican craft/artesanal breweries still learning how to consistently brew good craft beer, they are always pretty much hit or miss, Calavera and Minerva are the only Mexican breweries who seem to know what they are doing. That being said, Noche Buena is one of the few consistently good Mexican beers with a nice 5.9% alcohol, pretty high for a Mexican beer, Bohemia is one of the best breweries in Mexico, their Chocolate Stout and Weizen beers being just as good as the Noche Buena. AdolfoCC can kiss my ass, what a retard.

Bottle. Poured a brown color with amber edges and an off white head. Overall thinner - bread, caramel, and some generic sweetness.

2015 version. Just not a lot going on here. Little bit of head that disappears quickly. Lager, with a watery mouth feel. A touch of roast, a little bit of caramel, maybe, and some spice - but I feel like I’m imagining the flavors as much as tasting them. Not a bad beer, but doesn’t distinguish itself either.

It was one of my favourite beer in Mexico. It was a bit to find this beer and it was not available all the year. Decent lager with sweet malt and hop. The carbonation is regular and gold orange colour and the sensation in the mouth is not bad. Now in Mexico, we could find better beers but I believe that the local brewers are more concentrated in the north of the country.

Butelka. Kolor jasnobursztynowy, piana średnia, szybko znika.Aromat słodowy z nutą chmielową. Smak chmielowy, lekko nagazowany. W ustach lekka suchośc ale w sumie dobre.

This was an okay Vienna lager. Not much aroma and the taste was basic Amber/Vienna style.

Bottle says this is a bock. Too thin for it. A little grainy (DMS). Some malty aroma, a bit of burnt sugar/dark crystal. Decent bitterness backing up the malt. Some metallic taste. Definitely lacks the malt aroma and thickness of a bock, but it’s an OK beer.

0.355l bottle. Clear brownish amber body, almost no head. Neither the aroma nor the taste are so powerful but both of them are OK. Both have notes of grain, caramel and toast. Quite sweet with light medium body. Not bad, but I’ve had better christmas beers.
