Lubiere (3966), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Nov 1, 2006 Reddish dark maber with a quickly dissipating light moka head. Light caramel aroma. In mouth, a light nutty caramel malt with, lightly oily mouthfeel, rather thin and short in mouth. A summer vienna for the beach. Gracias Raul.
rederic (1681), montréal, Quebec, Canada Jan 29, 2009 2008 vintage, amber color, with a beige head, but falls quickly, light toasty, biscuity, caramel malt nose with a hint of fruitiness and toffeeness in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a toasty, biscuity malt character, with a faint cookie dough, toffee, caramel accent, with a hint of toasted crunchy cereals, light dried raisiny note leading towards malty, fruity finish. dm9831 (1029), Monee, Illinois, USA Jan 2, 2009 2006 bottle from cornfield. brownish color, ruby highlights,no head, some tiny bubbles slide down side of glass. mild airy malt nose, slightly grassy and musty. flavor is not very different than the nose. touch of dried fruit, candyish. medium bodied, kinda oily mouth feel, dry finish. kinda unobstrusive, needs more character to become offensive. ho hum. cohiba73 (11), Texas, USA Dec 26, 2008 Tastes like a classic american dark lager, toasty, biscuity with just the right balance of noble hops to offset the sweetness. The only negative is the slightly sulfury nose. Overall great session beer during the holidays and goes good with all types of festive feasts, from the ususual turkey and trimmings to classic mexican dishes like posole and tamales. NobleSquirrel (982), Chicago, Illinois, USA Oct 18, 2008 Bottle from the Oxxo in Mexico City. pour is a deep crimson brown. small off-white head. Yep, an american dark, skunky. Not much sweetness in the taste, pretty not good... gerardoluna (195), Mexico Sep 11, 2008 Ambar cristal color, no head, a little ceeal and hop aroma, the flavor is fresh and light, little taste, the best of femsa.
JuStuka (167), Edo De Mex, Mexico Sep 1, 2008 Well not bad beer, i really enjoy this one in a sunny day, unfortunatly it’s only a seaonal. pintsize (1042), Austin, Texas, USA Apr 7, 2008 3-15-08 bottle thanks to fly (the flyest of all flys)
Clear red in color with nice fluffy head. Sweet doughy smell. No real flavor aside from some watery dough flavors. Not overly thin, average to high carbonation. Not horrible at all! PaganBeer83 (19), tijuana, Mexico Mar 27, 2008 toasty, malty but watery, great after taste, brownish color, medium body, sweet smell with a bit of bitterness at the end... great beer for christmas.
