From site: Chocolate and brown malts contribute a deep rich color with Ruby highlights in this robust Porter. Bitterness from American chocolate malt is balanced by the sweet roastiness of toasted organic coconut.

Tap. Pours clear reddish black, medium creamy tan head, great lacing. Aroma is roasty, cocoa, tobacco. Flavor is medium sweet, light plus bitter, almost a chocolate liqueur thing going on, interesting. Roasty and a bit bitter on the finish. Medium body. Solid.

16 oz. can from my Secret Santa. Thanks man! Pours a dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of coco, coconut, earth, mild saltiness. Flavor is chocolatey, roasty, with salty coconut notes. Medium bodied, average carbonation. Finishes earthy and salty. Pretty good, interesting. Overall, nice.

Poured from pint can a deep oily black, forming a nice beige head of foam. Aroma upfront with coffee, cocoa, hops, field grass and licorice. Flavour much of the same, creamy finish that is somewhat bitter yet smooth. Excellent, recommend.

Very dark pour that looks great! So smooth! Dark chocolate tastes explode with each taste and end with a bitter deliciousness. Super complex and super great!

a little thin and dry, there was a little butterscotch in the background but overall nice.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
My Bottom Line:
Coffee and roasted chicory allusions ride vanilla and chocolate in this soft dessert of a brew.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-There is a lot of lacing atop the dark brown haze.
-Bitter hop resins appear to balance out the finish.
-These brewers aren’t shy with bittering hops...
-Drinkability is high enough.
On tap at the brewery taproom.

Top notch local porter. Smokey and chocolately. Had a draft pour at the Carolina ale house black in color with a tan head. Smells chocolatey.
