COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hop Cakes, a maple syrup infused double IPA. Only base grain used in the mash so ALL the color and sweetness is given from the maple syrup instead of specialty malts.

Tap at Beer Study. Soft pale blonde pour with one finger of off white head. Great nose, tons of citrus and fruity hops. Very and green/leafy hops. Tropical. Awesome flavor, good lord. Juicy and citrusy, pine resin, mango fruit, tropical. Beautiful and dank with some light onion notes on the finish. Light medium with a very hoppy finish.

Draft at NoDa. Pours out a yellowish / orange color with a small white head. Smell is sweet, syrupy, and hoppy. Kind of an odd flavor but after a bit I got used to it. Claims to be 130 IBUs. IBUs are basically a joke apparently because this is not very hoppy. Its good, its unique, but its not something I would drink very often.

Tap at Beer study with paul (dickinsonbeer) and hi buddy Jon. Deep hazy orange golden with a steady sudsy white head. Nose is pungent and potent; resins, citrus, caramel, pine, grass. Flavor is big, citrus and piney hops, malt backs it up well. Solid but a little on the boozy and resiny side of what I really enjoy these days.
