COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hop, Drop n Roll IPA For us this is where it all started! The rich golden color comes from a blend of English and American base malts accented with substantial amounts of Victory and Wheat malt. The American citrus hops take center stage with emphasis on late boil additions of Citra and Amarillo. This signature ale is hopped before, during, and after the boil!

From can thanks to mphillipsdesign. Pours a medium golden amber hue with good sized head and great lacing. Aroma of strong citrus hops, grapefruit, and some lightly sweet malt, with hints of pine. Light to medium body with a smooth mouthfeel. Moderate carbonation. Taste is similar to smell, very hop forward with a good malt backbone to balance it out. Not too bitter for being so hoppy and great citrus notes. Finish is smooth with some hop bitterness lasting in the palate. Top 5 IPAs, arguably top 3! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

16oz can. Thanks Joe and Judy for this great N. Carolina Beer. Brownish Amber pour with small ring of lace. Aroma is well blended grapefruit with lemons. Flavors start with upfront bitterness mixed with solid citrus, followed by a weak malt back bone. Clean dry finish. Good palate. Love this one.

Shared at a tasting hosted by Steebo on February 13. The pour on this beauty is a nice coppery orange, pretty clear, with a nice thick white head and some great lace. The aroma has a lot of citrus in it, and there is just an awesome dank hoppiness going on. The flavor is much more malty, although the dankness is as prevalent as ever. Its crazy how different the nose and flavor are. The dank citrus just defines the flavor. The mouth feel is pretty well done. Nice and oily with a good carbonation that helps it cling. The aftertaste is lingeringly bitter and drawn out on the citrus. I like this one!

Bottom of the can stamped 03/24/15. This was poured into a nonic pint glass. The appearance was a nice looking copper color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute leaving light streams of lacing. The smell had a glossy sweet citrus to light bitter citrus imparting a light spice to balance. The taste was sweet to bitter and added the light spice to enliven and help to accentuate a nice bitterness rolling into the aftertaste and adding a decent dry finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. The carbonation rolls over my tongue nicely with a good IPA harshness. The bitterness level is at a medium level. Overall, I say this was a nice AIPA that I would have again.

16 oz can pour, shared by Nick. Much thanks! Pours a fizzy orange color with a short bubbly head. Nice bready aroma with a good hop presence. Nice slightly bitter hop flavor with hints of orange. Love the hop filled flavor. Solid IPA for sure. Good stuff.

16 oz. can. Poured orange with white head. Strong citrus flavor, finishes with pine resin. Solid stuff. Liked it much more than their Jam Session. Not a fan of can art on these beers.

Hazy golden color with slight white head. Aroma is very nice, sweet with malts and citrus. Taste is DANK, pine with good malt back bone. Has an interesting after-taste that is grassy and almost celery like. Very good, but not what I was expecting.

Can... Pours clear and golden with a tiny, brief, white head. The aroma is a marriage of juicy tropical fruits and melons with a touch of muskiness. Bordering on full-bodied with lazy carbonation. The flavor is as bitter as Hell. Even when the beer hits room temperature and all residual sugar surfaces and a restrained element of biscuity sweetness makes a brief appearance, this baby is still heavily bitter. Lengthy, astringent, bitter finish. Can courtesy of newcigarz!

On tap at the brewery. Amberish pour. Bready, mild resin, grapefruit rind, moderately malty. Honestly, I was disappointed given the expectations and popularity. Distinctly average.
