Hop, Drop Ďn Rollô IPA For us this is where it all started! The rich golden color comes from a blend of English and American base malts accented with substantial amounts of Victory and Wheat malt. The American citrus hops take center stage with emphasis on late boil additions of Citra and Amarillo. This signature ale is hopped before, during, and after the boil!

Stopped by Duckworthís in Charlotte last week and having never tried anything from these guys, I stared out the evening with this. The beer presented in a tall tulip glass. A slightly hazy dark amber/gold color with a good bit of froth on top. Big hoppy aroma. Grapefruit, orange slices, honeydew melon, freshly-ground hop cones. Thatís what Iím talking about. Very nice aroma. Iím excited for this one. Moderate heft, holds up to the alcohol and flavor profile nicely. Crisp finish. Fresh hops all over the palate. Nothing tastes artificial or cheap here. Lots of fresh citrus fruity flavors, mild veggie greens, sweet honey malts - great balance! This was surprising. Such a great IPA. I am continually impressed and excited that NC is finally making some strides and improving their IPAs offered. One of the top-3 in the state IMO. Nice work, NoDa.

16oz can pours a hazy yellow amber color with a bit of frothy head. Intense hoppiness. Tropical fruit and very resiny at the end. A bit harsh.

APPEARANCE- Turbid to the point of cloudy. Dark golden in color. Very light head, but it sticks to the glass in nice lacing. NOSE- Fruity hop bomb in the nose. Some tropical notes, I get smell some mango. FLAVOR- really complex balance of fruity hop forward flavors with just enough resiny hop backbone for balance. NOTES- after my first sip, I wasnít surprised that itís a 99 (as of 7/2015) on RB. Itís exactly what IPA lovers are really wanting today. Many of my reviews of IPAs say that they are part of the 80% of the same that Shidadeyo proclaims are the same. NOT this one. It stands out amongst single IPAs, especially those from small breweries.

2015.07.19-NoDa Hop Drop n Roll-Sampler flight at Charlotte Airport. Definitely the best of the flight so far. I'm not a huge IPA fan but this is pretty good. Seems closer to a DIPA/IIPA as it seems balanced with maltiness or maybe that's the touch of wheat. It's pretty good, repeat worthy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can courtesy of McBeer. Wonderful creamy hop aroma. Murky Amber. Some lace. Creaminess softens the hops which have a bit of a peppery finish. A very nice IPA and some uniqueness for the style.

Can pour avg gold with orange hue and large white head. Nose juicy, resin, pineapple, hint of dank hop. Taste big bitter bite up front, dank and grassy hop flavor. Mid palate sweet malt leads to moderate bitter that lasts through the finish.

16 oz can shared by Eric at Capitol Beer & Tap Room. Pours orange copper with a huge off-white head and a strong citrus aroma. There is a full-bodied raspy pale malt flavor with a dry bitter finish. A very nice brew.
