Hop, Drop ‘n Roll™ IPA For us this is where it all started! The rich golden color comes from a blend of English and American base malts accented with substantial amounts of Victory and Wheat malt. The American citrus hops take center stage with emphasis on late boil additions of Citra and Amarillo. This signature ale is hopped before, during, and after the boil!

On tap at VBGB in Charlotte. Orange color with a big white head. Lots of citrus in the nose and in the palate, with a great hop finish. I really liked this one.

Tall boy can shared by Vance at Ale Alpharetta. Pours dark orange, with a thin head. The aroma is orange peels, resin, some light toffee, and hay. Strong bitterness, with a good, light malt profile. Medium body, sticky, a little grainy, and effervescent. This is a well-made, flavorful, and approachable IPA. Nothing outstanding, but very solid.

Can shared at Ranch-a-Thon by Larry. No canning date which sucks. Considering other cans purchased from the same liquor store were months old this might be the case. Pours a hazy ugly orange with no head. Very little carb. Aroma is slightly moldy tropical fruit but not that off putting. Maybe better put as a overly ripe fruit. Taste is a sweet forward hoppy beer with very little bitterness except at the end of the drink on the back of the throat. Slightly hopppy but woudn’t call this overly hopped by any means but this could be a product of age. Doesn’t taste that oxidized or faded like a normally old IPA. Meh.

Can from bruisin ales. We were just talking about there being no good NC ipas. This one definitely breaks that trend. Tangerine and melon aroma. Sticky resiny pine flavor and finish. Good body good balance and huge hop presence.

In a sea of solid, bigger beers, this was still a pretty darn good IPA. West-coasty hop flavors without the over the top bitterness some east coast brewers put into their WC IPAs. I’d love to take an entire 4/6 pack out for a spin as a full drinker.

Just what I want from an IPA--clear golden with a lacy white head. Chewy mouthfeel. Piney and floral aroma that leads you to a slightly sweet, appropriately bitter banquet of flavors--grapefruit, caramel, pine, toffee...A real winner.

Poured from a 16oz can I got in a trade, thanks Devin. Aroma is citrus and pine. Flavors are grapefruit peel, citrus, pine, I love the malt they used not to caramelly or sweet. Very good west coast Ipa, love everything about this beer. Hops are where they should be and the malt sits nice to balance some of the bitterness out! Wish I had more of this beer.

UPDATED: MAR 12, 2014 Very good IPA to drink while at the airport in Charlotte NC. Yep, i?m at Bad Daddy?s Burger Bar. This is a tasty brew on way home to VA. Cheers! Highly recommend . Great choice of variety hops to give that fine west coast flavor.

Golden pour with a white head. Big pine aromas on this one with some citrus peel notes as well. Flavor is resinous hops all the way through. Bitter finish. It’s all about the hops here. Can from Tmongoose, thanks man!
