COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A solid malt backbone with a hefty amount of Rye, to further the grain bill, plus a 7 hop blend gives this beer an "American" IPA flavor and aroma but also accentuates the spiciness of the Rye.

Draft at Vintner. Dark red colored pour with a tan head on it. Smell is spicy and full of rye and hop notes. Taste pretty bitter, thick, hoppy, spicy, little bit of citrus from the overload of hops. Pretty good, alcohol isnt noticeable. Not really a bad beer, but I think one is enough.

On tap @ NoDa with jcnielsen. Pours a hazy dark golden orange appearance with an off white head. Rye, gummy sweet caramel malt in the aroma. A touch of fruits. Fairly high sweetness and bitterness. Spicy rye and candy flavor with some tropical fruits thrown in. Strong. Disappointing.

Soft hazy amber with two fingers of creamy beige head. Not much nose, some citrus zest. Sharp/phenolic flavor, zesty. Light sweetness, becomes malty. Very full palate, coating and moderately bitter.

Tap at Mexican joint. I enjoyed this offering from a local brewer. Decent amount of hops with a kick.

Draught. Pours a slightly hazy dark amber color with effectively no head. Nose is floral and hoppy with just a hint of the rye coming through at the end. Taste is slightly bitter, but ends up being smooth and easy to drink. Pretty good beer.

TURDFERGUSON (3969) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - FEB 8, 2013
Tap at beer study. Pours hazy mahogany with reddish hue, off white foam. Nose is light rye, grassy, light citrus, lots of caramel malt. Similar flavor, a little sweeter than the founders rendition but better than the BA version which just adds too much sweetness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Served in a Tulip at the brewery’s taproom. Pours a copper color with thin off-white head. Lots of lacing. Aroma yields pine, sawdust, grass. Taste is peppery rye upfront. Slight honey on the back end. The higher ABV isn’t overly hidden.
