Behold Tri-Umphant! A Belgian style Tripel brewed with all traditional Belgian malts, continental hops, Belgian yeast and enough Belgian candi-sugar to make an Umpalumpa blush. The rich esters from our Belgian yeast will fill your nose, mouth and soul with a feeling of accomplishment never seen before in a macro beer world.

Hazy and very dark golden orange colored with golden banana yellow edges and a 1.5 finger frothy, white head that quickly settle into a thick, lasting ring. Streaks of soapy lace are left behind. Slightly funky aroma with strong yeast presence. Lots of bread, banana and bubblegum along with zesty spice, pale malt and earthy hops. Hints of clove, coriander and pepper as well as some banana bread and citrus peel. Medium bodied and complex with zesty spice, bready yeast and ester-y fruit notes. Reminiscent of a wheat beer with bread, citrus rind and peppery spice. Iím picking up some clove, ginger, coriander and pepper followed by wheat, bread/yeast and citrus peel. A touch of banana followed by some bubblegum, orange peel and grapefruit. Not too sweet, however, with masked ABV and decent balance. Some earthy hops toward the finish which is slightly tart.

22oz bottle from Total Wine in Cary, N.C. Golden hue, normal clarity with mostly diminishing white head. Fruity (apple), grain, yeast, & citrus hop as it warms. Grain, fruit & some spice taste. This is my least favorite of the NoDa beers I have had so far.

Bomber from Bestway. Pours a clear amber color with a thin frothy off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma of candi sugar, cotton candy, bread, melon, stone fruits. The taste is earth, herbal hops, melon, cotton candy, candi sugar. Light bodied, low carbonation, slight booziness. On the sweet side, but does maintain decent balance.
