3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 kramer (3376) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 17, 2010
On tap, at brewery. Pours a clear dark brown with a small wispy light brown head. More spicy on the nose than your average Brown Ale with some hints of husky chocolate malt. Nice nutty notes, almost hazelnut like. The flavor is fairly dry, a little husky, with some light bitterness on the back end. Reminds me a little of Rogue Hazelnut Nectar. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. Flavorful, flirting with some light Porter qualities. One of the better offerings the day I was there.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jredmond (2471) - Manhattan, New York, USA - AUG 2, 2010
On Cask at Nodding Head. Pours a dark dark brown body with creamy, off-white head that dissipates into nice lasting lacing. Aroma is basic roasty notes with some bread, malt and nuts. Mouthfeel is very smooth - the flavor is restricted but could be a decent session beer with some flavor.

On tap at the brewpub with jredmond, streets, and Brendan. This was my favorite of the night.. Bordering on the stout style.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 j12601 (4171) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - APR 8, 2010
On tap at The Nodding Head. Pours a deep garnot tinged chocolate and cola brown with a thin to medium sized dark beige head. Minerally roast, nutty, a bit of coffee with a nice sesame note. Roasty and lightly sweet, a bit of cocoa. Very slow finish with hints of smoke over long subtle roast. Nice.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 ROGUE (1315) - Newark, Delaware, USA - FEB 15, 2010
On tap at brewery. The beer pours a dark brown color with a creamy tan head. The aroma has a nice malty caramel scent with little hops. The taste has roasty malt complexity and caramel sweet flavor. The mouthfeel was a little thin and the carbonation was on the light side.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Leafs93 (868) - Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 7, 2010
This is a beer I consistently order when visiting Nodding Head, it hits the spot. Pours deep brown with a thin coffe colored head. Aroma of sweet malt, chocolate and coffee. You can taste chocolate and coffee in this medium bodied brew. Nice beer.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 nimbleprop (2126) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - DEC 2, 2009
Sampled on tap at the brewpub. Deep, nearly opaque brown with a creamy off white head. Sweet aroma, milk chocolate with some fruitiness that’s unexpected. Flavor is sweet, malty, bready, toast, chocolate, some fruity esters from the yeast. Dry finish. Very nice.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 BillKismet (2653) - Seattle, Washington, USA - DEC 1, 2009
Served on cask, this brew did not live up to it’s cool name. Deep chestnut body with a cream head followed shortly by a roasty aroma of brown malt and manes of chocolate. Nice brown malt body, dry, but creamy finish. Not bad, but somehow a disappointment.
