Jun 21, 2004 Poured dark brown. Aroma of malt, nuts, slight honey, toffee. Tastes slightly light on mouthfeel, with hints of malt, brown sugar, nuts, and chocolate. Nice complexity and well balanced.

Jun 20, 2004 HBF- The brewer stated this to be a Mild but brown ale works as a label here. Awesome deep brown color with a long lasting head. Nice roasty/nutty aroma and flavor. Great mouthfeel- not too watered down yet extremely drinkable and smooth as silk.

Jun 20, 2004 Sampled draft at the Harrisburg Brewer’s Fest. Since browns are boring to me. I can see why this one won so many awards. It actually has flavor for a brown!! Slight dark malt flavor but it’s there.

Jun 20, 2004 Very dark brown color with a small tan head. Caramel malt aroma, light roast as well. Chocolate, coffee, caramel, citrus hops, and dominant molasses taste. Overall kinda thin, but then that seems to be expected from this style.

Jun 6, 2004 From the dark brown/red thick looking body, I expected more oomph. Instead it was a thin brown ale (ok, it was a little creamy, but watery at the same time). Sweet chocolate, then roasty with a minimally hopped ending. Not offensive and not very interesting.

Jun 6, 2004 A dark ruby color with a nice head. The aroma is light, but the flavor is almost smoky with a little coffee and a bit of light chocolate. Lightly bubbly mouthfeel.
