COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
No cute name on this one...simply a fairly strong (7%abv) intensely hoppy amber ale...much like our BPA turned up to 11.

Draft at Capones. Bright and crisp hoppy aroma. Flavor bites the top of the mouth and finishes dry. Hoppy as hel, you’d never think this is an East Coast IPA, let alone from Philly.

On tap at brewery. Pours a light copper amber with a decent white head. Aroma of pine, citrus and light caramel. Flavor is caramel malts, pine, and grapefruit. A decent ipa

Pours a translucent copper amber with a medium creamy/foamy lacing off white head. Aroma of citrus, pine, tons of fresh hop pellets. Coupled with a nice caramel malt balance and hints of nuts. Flavor of fresh hops, your standard pine, grapefruit, other various citrus and the caramel malt. Well done, very fresh IPA!

Nah...no. This is insignificantly different than the BPA. It’s pretty remarkable how unwilling this brewery is to changing hops. I mean, this beer tastes exactly like the BPA (which i qualified by having immediately afterwards) + 10 ibus which means nothing because i’m not a robot. It’s those more organic, vegetable, cheesy hops. I’m sick of padding their ratings this one is legit.

Draft at brewpub, 3/25/07. Poured amber with a moderate sized white head. Aroma was all hops. Flavor was dominated by hops from start to finish, with a long lasting, mouth coating hop resin. The best beer I had on my recent visit to Nodding Head.
