Dark with a tan head. Toasty malt with a char and a crisp finish. Bready and full bodied.

My favorite of three at a recent visit to the tap room. This poured very dark with a small tan head. More like a porter in aroma with a big dose of roast malt. The flavor has more of the malt but is nicely balanced with some bitterness.

Tap at the brewpub: Deep brown with a creamy tan lacing thick khaki head. Toasted aroma- slight dimethylsulfide & metallic notes. Fluffy body with a chocolaty flavor. Mild roast in the flavor as well with a vegetal character. A bit oily and not very clean. Some off flavors with evident residual sugars, but still decent.
