Whoa man, this is like drinking a gingerbread cookie. Ginger, cinnamon, paprika, and black pepper dominate the aroma given off by this dark ruby beer topped with a short head. Flavors follow suit, offering a mildly spicy conconction that tastes quite unique and finishes competently.

Dec 27, 2007 Pours a deep amber color into the lager glass. Almost no head and minimal lacing. Scents of spice, ginger, cinnamon and brown sugar. Very sweet, syrupy taste and malty flavors. Sticky and coating mouthfeel. A nice winter warmer.

Dec 21, 2007 This is a Liquid ginger snap with whipped cream and a cherry on top. Sweet, smooth and flat. Mouthfeel is thin, but the spices leave the tongue coated. There seem to be some dark fruits in the mash that add make this feel more ripe. Seemingly low ABV.

Feb 7, 2007 Reddish color with light white head. Very sweet aroma with a spicy taste to match - kind of reminds me of Egg nog. Only had a small sample, so I’ll have to try another next year. Overall, pretty good holiday beer.

Jan 31, 2006 Aftertaste of cinnamon-caramelized sugar. Sweet with banana-estery yeast. Thin mouthfeel. Low carbonation. Kinda blah. dryish spices on the finish.

Dec 14, 2005 2005 draught @ NH’s brewpub. pours a deep ruby red. no head. I’m sensing cranberry, cherry, holiday candles on the nose. Same as I taste it, plus it’s sweet and generally fruity. IT has quite a floral finish - in fact if you’ve had smuttynose pumpkin ale, it’s got a very similar finish. I had to think hard to what it reminded me of, but it’s errily similar in the finish. Floral and somewhat soapy finish. Overall not bad, and I agree, best christmas beer name ever.
