COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Unpasteurized, Unfiltered, Bottle-Refermented Belgian Ale. The Brasserie Des Légendes is housed in a medieval castle in the town of Irchonwelz, in the French-speaking south of Belgium. Its majestic gate stands high to allow the passage of the occasional visiting giant ... as the town is famous for its annual giants parade.

Bottle served in a tulip. Hazy dark brown-amber-orange in color with a large, frothy off-white head. Nose is ripe pit fruit. Fig and plum. Also... molasses and pepper. Medium-full body, creamy and fluffy. Flavor matches the nose and then some. Splendid sweetness. Finishes with a little alcohol. Very nice overall.

11.2 oz (330ml) bottle pours an opaque amber-ochre color. Aroma is of corriander, raisins and dates with a thick malty backbone. Medium mouthfeel, not overly carbonated. Flavors of cereal, figs and raisins with an earthy, dough-like finish and a sweet aftertaste. Not a session beer for me, but nice for a cold winter night inside. Nicely paired with a smoked applewood bacon pork loin and homemade mac ’n cheese.

Thanks to sebletitje for the share. Pours translucent gold with a champagne-like off-white head. Nose is malt, spice, chamomile, and other herbs. Flavor is similar with sugar, malt, and more chamomile. Medium body and earthy, herby finish.

Reddish brown, big but loose beige head. Smells like apple, pear, molasses and rum. Flavor is very malty and sweet, and also quite a bit of alcohol. notes of apple and nutmeg, and a fairly alcoholic finish.

Bottle. Has a malty, sweet taste not much hops. Aroma is that of raisins or some other dried fruit. Dark amber color. I like this beer. Really good for a holiday beer.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber with an orange tint and a bubbly off-white head. Aroma has notes of caramel, grain, alcohol and some yeast notes. A strong note of alcohol with undertones of hay, and grain. Not particularly well balanced.
