Zu Beginn Kräuter, würzig, angenehme Herbe. Dazu Hefe, das Bier erinnert doch sehr an ein Wit. Die Intensität ist angenehm, die Aromen nicht sonderlich abgestimmt aber doch in Ordnung. Passt. /9/9/8/5/8

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 ClubGonzo (1732) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 20, 2010
Hm. What a surprise. According to the bottle label, this is a beer according to the ancient Egyptian brewing tradition, so of course I had to check that out. Pours a very pale, cloudy brew, no head to speak off. The nose is rather weak, but the first sip immediately gave me the impression that this is something else. Very, very fruity and wit-like, sort of like a Belgian wheat beer with a good dose of Sprite in it; I believe the concept is called Panache in France and Radler in Germany. Lots of fruity, yeasty notes, fresh, sweet and highly drinkable. As I am not familiar with the fruit beer genre I could be utterly misjudging here, but I think Nofretetes Tradition is a rather refreshing little thing. Perhaps not something I could go all night with, but original and drinkable enough to deserve a better rating than the current rating of 8.

33cl, exclusive German brew with dates and figs, from Haus der 131 Biere Hamburg, not complex brew, yet refreshing, balanced, cloudy, good head, nothing special, yet good concept!
