Some nice spicey, almost cakey caramel flavours, mixed with some orangey, and quite floral hops, dark fruit in there aswell, perhaps the balance isn’t quite there, but theres so much good flavour in here, very nice. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA

Dark caramel-cola hue tinged by lasting foam and a bit of lace...burnt caramel and figs try to stay alive in the fierce citrus assaulting the nostrils...but the body is amazingly smooth despite being touched by rough charcoal, licorice and dark chocolates, roasty and smoky with dried hops surprsingly muted...almost seems an IPA-alt mix to me, with little to no alcohol obviously present. Very well done for sure. pivo (2537), Germany

Big hop bitter, broad and across the whole mouth. Heavy body, warming alcohol effect on the way down. Excellent. OKBeer (1159), Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada

Toffee, piny, fruity, pithy, and caramel aroma. Toffee, light chocolate malts, with a grapefruit, dark fruit, and citrusy bitter finish. Full bodied, smooth but a bit syrupy mouthfeel. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 16, 2008 Pours a deep, deep brown hue with a light tan head with some of the best lacing I have seen in a while. Aromas of pine, a little floral, dried fruit. Flavors of pine, citrus a light cocoa note with a light, somewhat creamy mouth feel. While many compare this to bigfoot, I find it to be a lot smoother both with alcohol burn and finish. The chocolate malts add a nice roast to the finish. bb (2976), Martinez, California, USA

Murky brown beer out of the bottle (but I think I got the bottom of the bottle) with a big foamy egg shell head. Nose of malt extract syrup. Great complex flavors with orange, peach, apple sauce. Lots of citrusy hops on a strong dark caramel malty sweetness. Very well balanced. I would not have picked it as an IIPA, but it is a great beer. joeycapps (1466), Waterdown, Ontario, Canada

Robust aroma of resiny, woody (pine, spruce) hops against a background of caramel, chocolate, & dark fruit. Full- bodied, sticky, oily feel. Flavour is intensely bitter but well-balanced & surprisingly malty. Finish is very long.
