COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
India Saison is the hoppy, crisp and refreshing result of a north south collaboration. Classic Belgian malts and yeast, pungent Australian new hop varieties and clean Norwegian water. Served chilled and enjoy with cheeses and charcuterie. This product is bottle conditioned and has a slight sediment at the bottom of the bottle.

Gigantic white head towers above the murky, dirty looking golden; looking darker than it really is as heavily sedimented as it is. Relatively fresh smelling in terms of bright pale malts with no apparent residual sugars, but the hops they bragged about on the label are not all that forward. Certainly, tropical hints, lemon and flowery allusions peak through, but they are far from explosive. Rather, the yeast steals most of the show with its peppery and white dough central flavors. Fitting biting carbonation consisting mostly of large bubbles. Dry on the palate with crackery malts and soft sourdouh acidity. Not as elegant as I was hoping, its ending bitterness feels a bit harsh considering the not so massive hop aromas and lean texture. It makes drinkability a bit lesser. Nevertheless, this remains a far above average beverage, just one that is less than the sum of Nogne O’s IPA and Saison would lead you to expect.

My Bottom Line:
Guava and citrusy fruitiness evolves into a potent resinous and dusty second half in this dry, bitter New World Saison.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A lofty head of foam thrones above the misty golden.
-The nose is a tad mineral, on top of being obviously fruity. But I would have expected more of the aroma.
-Bottle conditioning is well done. Carbonation is expansive yet soft.
-The green, peppery hoppy finish is far too brash for what there is aroma and flavor-wise.
-This is only 40 IBUs?!? You’ve got to be kidding me. It tastes and lingers like a beer twice as bitter.

Bottle.

Bottle from mane liquor. Pours a nice yellow colour with a tiny white cap. Nose has Belgium yeast, bananas, citrus hops and zest. Lemon comes through in the taste. Earthy spices also become evident. Nice carbonation. Not a bad effort

Une bouteille de 50 cl. Batch 755.

Golden straw-like pour, great fluffy head ensues. Lasts for a long time. Aroma of belgian-yeasty-fruityness and citrusy hops, blending in fabulous fashion. Taste is definitely saison-ish with loads of clove and fruity-esters. Bitterness is medium-high, but blends rather well and is not very dominating in any way. Semi-dry and bitter finish. Light to medium body.

A saison with hops influences. Crystalclear apperance(saison is meant to be cloudy). Hop aroma with saison influences. Nice foam that disappears after 10 minutes. This beer is something for ipa-lovers who wanna get into belgian beers.
