3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(50 cl bottle from Den Nordiske Ølhandel; Batch #755; BBD; January 25th 2017) Pours a slightly hazy amber, with frothy, white head and lively carbonation. Beautiful lacework, good retention and decent regeneration. Aroma is fresh and vinous with notes of saison yeast and some tropical fruits. Oily texture, medium body with a moderately bitter and astringent finish. Flavour follows the nose but has more herbal hoppy bitterness. An exciting and pleasant beer although I would prefer it with a little less ABV and hop bitterness and ever so slightly more aromatic hops. I guess the aroma would be more hop forward had I gotten it fresher. This one was brewed 12 months ago already.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Brewed 09.02.15. Hazy orange color with huge white head. Aroma is lime, lemongrass, exotic fruits (more towards physalis, starfruit, gooseberries and the likes, not mango & passion fruit), peppery yeasts. Taste goes back and forth between a strong peppery yeast character with that Belgian funk and new world hops with exotic fruits as described in the aroma, also a bit earthy and some hints of a caramel maltiness (and of course wheat) shines through. Dry peppery finish, also a bit bitter. Complex and refreshing at the same time, despite the comparably high ABV for a Saison. Medium carbonation. This is beautiful. The bottle overflowed with a living foam that built up slowly and came out of the neck after I poured half of it. Something magic has happened with this bottle :P I am in love and I while I usually expect good things from the involved breweries, this exceeded my expectations by a lot.
Pairing this with some spiced sausage and flavoursome cheese lets the hops shine through more. The recommendation works out.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazy yellow color with fluffy white head. Aroma is yeasty with some herbs and lemongrass. Taste starts nice with yeast and some floral flavors. Finish is a bit astringent, bitter and slightly boozy. Not bad but it has some flaws.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Golden with a thick white head. Spicy, yeasty, hoppy, pineapple. Medium sweet, lightly soir, rather dry and bitter finish. Average carbonation, rather full bodied. Good but heavy saison. Not really for thirst.

The flavour is of spices, citrus hops, pale malts, peppery, some yeast. Bitter mouthfeel, medium body, high carbonation. Finishes nicely bitter, lingering. A nice saison. Faily bitter, not overely spicy.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
10/4/2011 7:51:30 AM Bottle from Bierkoning. Bright orange body with puffy head. Nose is hoppy and fruity with plenty of citrus. Taste also lots of citrus and bitter finish. Quite an interesting blend, that I liked but perhaps too much citrus for me.
