A special twist on the Finnish style Sahti, brewed at Nøgne Ø in cooperation between Dugges Brewery, Sweden, and Nøgne Ø of Norway. Brewed with rye and wheat, sea wormwood from the Swedish archipelago, juniper twigs from the Norwegian forests, honey from heather flowers in Telemark and three selected yeast strains from Belgium, Germany and Britain, and of course, some malt and hops too.

Pours a deep copper color, with a medium off white head. Really unique nose, lots going on. Earth, sweet malts, hops, and honey are all evident. The flavor was pretty cool on the taste buds as well. Got a lot of herbal and earthy notes as in most traditional ales, with some fruity sweetness and tart honey notes. Very interetsing and tasty ale, a little underrated I think.

From bottle at Borefts ’15, shared by CountBeer. Cheers! Pours murky brown with almost no head. Aroma is sweet with spices, cough syrup, "speculaaskruiden" and honey. Taste is quite sweet with some sharp spices, nettles and a medium bitter finish. Medium body and carbo.

Aroma lot of honey, spices and yeasty, not your typical beer aroma. Bready, malty, the taste as with the aroma is mostly about the honey here, very overpowering it was.

500ml bottle purchased at Knightly Spirits in Orlando, Florida. Orange amber in colour with a thin lasting off-white head, some light lacing. The aroma has lots of berries, wood, twigs, some grass, spice and honey. The flavour is of honey sweetness, lots of juniper berries, some spice and pepper. Sweet mouthfeel, medium/light body, medium carbonation. Finishes long, sweet with lots of honey and berries. I’m liking the Sahti’s that I have been trying. Hopefully more will come out. This one is quite nice.
