3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle. Pours a reddish/brown color. Aroma is spice, sweet. Flavor is notes of malts, spices, ginger - pepper. Touch of chocolates. Bitter finish, lasting spice notes. A nice beer, though I drunk it at the height of Summer - not the best time I would gather.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Mahogany red in color... Aroma of cough syrup... Mouthfeel is thick and resiny, notes of nuts, caramel toffee malts, cinnamon and spices on the palate... Thin on the end, but solid overall

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
The aroma is malty, caramel, a little roastiness. Pours dark brown with light brown creamy head, mostly diminishing. The taste is sweet, then a little bitter. The body is medium to full, the texture creamy, the carbonation average and finish smooth. Overall a very good beer!

Simply amazing... Full of vanilla, juniper berry, and also little chocolate in aroma. One of the best holiday ales I’ve ever had.

Smak och doft av enbär, mjöd, trä. Söt med en tydlig enbärs- och tallbarrsbeska.

bottle. Deep brown with small head. Less medicinal than the nogne version. Maybe thus has mellowed with age. Chewy with medium alcohol warmth.

Stone/Nøgne Ø/Jolly Pumpkin Special Holiday Ale
12oz bottle. Dark rusted brown color, tan head. Aroma of sweet chestnuts, heavy spice, floral hops with sage, cherry wood, toasted malts, caramelized sugars. Flavor of fruitcake w/o the fruit. Spice, toasted grains, a touch of coffee bitterness, juniper, peppery tingle, rye bread, all blended with a dominating nutty character. Thick, creamy, heavy body. Loads of flavor. Glad I’m drinking this bottle by my self. It’s worth sharing, more worth savoring all to myself.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle at home with friends, courtesy of André. Thanks man! Pour is murky brown with a slight red tint and small cream head. Cardboard, dark fruits, caramel, light juniper, and nutmeg in the aroma, but definitely oxidized. Taste is heavy malt, cardboard, spice, caramel, heavy oxidation, stale bread, and pine needles. Medium body with high carbonation. Definitely the worst of the three. Bleh.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle @ Stephen’s house courtesy of André. Thanks! Pours a clear, orangish brown appearance with a small white head. Cardboard, caramel, light toffee, mild spicy aroma. Oxidized, rich caramel, toasty malty, a touch spicy, dull paper flavor. The spices are gone in this one now. Probably either my second or third favorite of the three in the collaboration.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pour out of bottle, thanks Andre! Dark reddish pour with white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, pumpkin, dark fruits, spice, toffee, hints of slight oxidation, lots of earth. Taste is oxidized slightly boozy mess, slight pumpkin, spice, finishing fairly sweet. Eh.
