Huge stout. Aroma of wine and yeast. Big roasted malt flavours with an intense alcohol heat. Very wine-y and yeasty. After the booziness passes notes of roasted grains, chocolates and espresso/coffees are present. Like fortune, this stout favours the bold.

250ml bottle pours black in color with a small light brown head that leaves only a few spots of lacing behind. Aroma is dark chocolate, coffee and roasted grains with a hint of alcohol. Taste is a chocolate malty sweetness with a dark roasted grain and coffee bitterness. Medium bodied with mild carbonation. Alcohol is well hidden. Overall, this is a solid imperial stout that seems to have no weaknesses.

Bottle. Pours Black with a Tan head. Intense roasty aroma. Dark sweet chocolate. Full boozy flavour. Thick and sweet. Coffee and vanilla notes. Oversugared coffee. Oily texture. The whole thing packs a punch. Very nice

Pitch black with a tiny coffee ring of foam. Roasted barley, bitter coffee, hint of vanilla, dark ripe fruit. Sweet at first, some bitterness in the end. Full body with a slick texture, soft carbonation, long dry finish. Very well balanced, surprisingly easy to drink.

Black beer with a tan head that disappears almost immediately after pouring into glass. A very strong aroma of dark chocolate, plums, prune, barrel, roasted, cherry liquour, even some smoke. Thick and sweet in the taste with a distinct yet noble alcohol note, dark chocolate and heavily burned coffee in the aftertaste. Almost no carbonation at all. Definitely worth trying.

Bottle from cellarbrations super store Hamilton hill. Pours pitch black with a thin tan head. Carbonation is low and body is full. Aroma is dark chocolate and bitter coffee mixed with vanilla, subtle ripe tropical fruits and some booze. Taste is complex and the abv is well masked. Chocolate is the standout for me mixed with some smokeyness. The burnt dark malts create a massive dark chocolate / coffee bitter finish with lots of sultanas, vanilla, caramel and ash. My highest rate beer rating so far. Great stuff

larsga (6621) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 23, 2015
Small brown head. Opaque black body. Earthy chocolatey mealy aroma with herbal milky notes. Dry-sweet, and faintly acidic, earthy chocolatey taste with herbal notes. Full-bodied. Mild, soft, mealy mouthfeel with some heat at the end. Dry roasty chocolatey aftertaste with alcoholic herbal notes. Nice, surprisingly mellow. (0.25l bottle, I forget where from. Batch 894/895 from Nov 2012, drunk April 2015.)

Bottle shared with Remy for a pre-420 session. Remy likes the strong shit so I brought this little jawn along. Pours black color with large beige head. Aromas and flavor of dark fruit...mostly plum and or prunes. Other notes of barrel, chocolate, toffee, and licorice. Medium to fuller mouth but not too sticky. Booze well hidden for 16%

Bottle to glass. Pours a pitch black color with a thin tan head. Aroma is roasted malts, dark chocolate, molasses, touch of licorice. Molasses and licorice a bit more present in the flavor. Relatively thin body. Boozy. Overall very tasty.
