Black beer with not much head on top. Smallish lacing still sticks to the glass. Aroma has licorice, salt, coffee, roasted malts, chocolate and some berries. Taste has lots of stuff. Cocoa, dark chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, red berries, cream and a bit of warming alcohol. Creamy full body and low carbonation. Really great collaboration.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Black as coal, black as sin, black as night, the initial dark brown head on this beer does not last that long. Aroma was very complex, dark roasted beans, charred oak, soya, liquorice, dark chocolate, syrupy and nutty. Alcohol was in the aroma but not burning in any way, hard roasted malt and coffee beans, some rum on the nose and vanilla, slightly burnt and tar also.
Tasted dark chocolate, heavy roasted malts and possibly some dark dried fruits like raisins and prunes. Alcohol but not overpowering and lots of cocoa and dark chocolate. The body to this beer is very filling, sticky, oily and leaves a heavy thick coating in the mouth, smoky to bitter finish.

Black with a very small dense, quickly dissipating, brown head. Aroma is quite meaty with soy and peat, toffee, raisins, wood some chocolate.
Taste is medium sweet, some soy notes, medium bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture soft, small bubble carbonation.
The most meaty and peaty one of them.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Rakuten. Served in a mini-tulip it pours a thick oily black with a thin rusty tan head. A savoury chocolate fudge, nutty, cacao with some heat. Full bodied with a scratchy mouthfeel. Lots of heat going down, the taste is a bit smokey, roasty chocolate, savoury and bitter cacao beans, some berry sweetness. The longer you sip the more you get out of it.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
25cl bottle, served in tulip. This beer is the darkness itself with a nice tan head. Aromas of wood, roasted malts, dark chocolate and licorice. The flavour does not have licorice, but a lot of coffee instead. Dark chocolate is also substantially present. Dry and warm on the palate, so smooth despite the ABV. Very robust and perfectly carbonated, which is an awesome result in that context. Overall: great Imperial Stout.
