Bottle @ brewday, thanks vaiz! Aroma is chocolate, roast, coffee, molasses and liquorice. Flavour is roasty creamy chocolate, some coffee, whiskey like alcohol in the finish. Hefty but very nice.

A finger of dark bubbley choco head, atop a jet black body. Big aroma. Chocolate-fudge, iron, black coffee, toffee and heavy roast. Hint of dark berries and alcohol. Full-bodied. Quite sharp on the palate. Full malty. Heavily roasted malts at first, then nuances of dark bitter chocolate, coffee ground and a mellowing berry-ish fruitiness. A refind maltsweetness underneath. Balancing bittering hops. No disturbing alcohol. Lasting complex ending. Sips very good, this monster. [0.25 l bottle from Vinmonopolet Nettbutikk. Cellared for more than a year. Enjoyed at home, whilst watching Germany-Argentina in the World Cup final]

250ml bottle [#15003]. Jet black colour with late awakening, average, firm, frothy, strepitous diminishing, brown head. Room-filling, extraordinarily intense, dark malty aroma renovates the nasal mucosa - tabula rasa, rebooted, starting at zero, and then: dry notes of leather, shoe polish, waxed timber flooring, background-ish treacle, vanilla, coffee, lovage, soy sauce, Worcester sauce, peat, disinfectant, hazelnut liqueur, to mention just a few... Taste is sweet dark malty, some roast and roast bitterness, notes of chocolate and coffee, vanilla, dry notes of leather, herbal lovage overtones; slightly sticky palate, oily texture, super long lasting, slightly alcoholic finish. Multifaceted, rich, slightly inharmonic; ameliorates with time, gets more gentle and harmonic, more integrated; well-nigh unparalleled intensity of flavours.

#04311 bottle. Pours almost black with minimal tan cap but fairly sticky lacing. Aroma of maple, vanilla, molasses, chocolate, coffee, earth, raisin, plum, wood, booze. Taste is mostly dark chocolate and coffee bitterness, with a good amount of vanilla and dark fruit sweetness. Creamy, and lasting dry finish.

Bottle from Purvis. Aroma coffee and chocolate with a hint of cherry cough syrup. Mouthfeel is also syrupy but not as thick as I was anticipating. Bitterness and sweetness march hand in hand right through the mouthful. Taste is sweet coffee. I shared this bottle and now wish I had the full .25l (haha)

Bottle sample at a tasting at our place. Thanks ArizviSG. Black, opaque, with a quickly dissolving head. Soy, tariaky sauce and a little vinous aroma, A little alcoholic taste with smooth liquor sweetness and faint smoke. Very heavy, smooth, little carbonation, a little bitter and full-bodied.

In short: a robust viscous stout.
Pours black with nice tan head. Moderate head retention, some lacing. Roasty, liquor, caramel, coffe and toffee aromas. Medium body, average carbonation, viscous texture. Taste follows the nose, sticky mouthfell, lingering bitter notes of coffee and liquor. Rounded, powerful and very enjoyable.
