UPDATED: NOV 3, 2012 03-NOV-2012, bottle @home, norsk butik close to Mikkeller. Much more and lasting head this time from bottle. Sweet roast and loads of hops. Some alcohol. Just a fine porter. Raised the rating. Nor very often I prefer the bottle over draught version. ########## 10-MAY-2012, draft @DØE Ølfestival 2012. Almost black and almost ni head. Bready - rugbrød. Very malty. Rye is evident in taste but alsto in texture, Sweet. Fine brew.

Sample from tap, CBF 2012. Pitch black colour with a dark brown head. Sweet and roasted aroma with malt, caramel, rye and bread. Sweet taste with malts, roasted notes, chocolate and rye. Full body with an oily texture. Long lasting, bitter finish. The best experience at this festival.

Draught. No head. Pitch balck body. Mild coffee choccolate aroma and flavor. Low carbonation. Long aftertaste. Would never have guessed the alcohol level.

Draught, 9%. Black colour. Small dark brown head. Roasted flavour, mild grassy hop aroma.

Pours pitch black with a small white head. Aroma of roasted malts, rye, hints of smoke. Taste is quite heavy bodied with a lot of rye notes and roasted malts. Finish is malty and slightly sticky with roasty notes. Tasty, well balanced.

Pours a pitch black colour with a brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, rye, cream and syrup. Flavour of roasted malts, rye, bitter hops and strong bready maltiness. Full bodied, thick mouthfeel and a roasty, bready and bitter finish. Great stuff and also quite heavy.

Sweet aroma is, surprisingly, high on rye. Also hints of coffee. Flavour is sweetish with rye. Roasted malt, dark chocolate and coffee in the finish. Creamy and very smooth palate. Nice.

Pours pitch black color with a huge foamy head. Aroma of distinct rye, toasted malts, ripe fruit notes, some caramel, toffee hints and some honey notes. Flavor of caramel, toasted malts, rye, some grain and vanilla hints. Smooth palate with a mild dry malty finish. Very nice.

Dark black brown colour with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, beige to light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, dark chocolate, caramel, licorice, light to moderate hoppy. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, creamy, chocolate, licorice. Body is medium to medium full, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft. [20120419]

50cl, new exclusive Norwegian collab. brew Anno 2012, from De Hopduvel Gent, complex Porter, roasted/spicy and slightly fruity/bitter, not too heavy, balanced, cloudy, good head, very good brew, yet expensive!
