A nice well rounded brew overall with a dark completely opaque black body and tan head. The nose is rich and roasted with big boisterous coffee and rye toast notes. A bit sweet and dessert like with sweet chocolate and buent espresso flavours. Overall a warm finish with lingering roasted bitterness. A nice brew!

500ml bottle pours almost black in color with a finger of light brown head that has decent retention and leaves some spotty lacing. Aroma is licorice with hints of roasted grains and chocolate. Taste is a chocolate malty sweetness with a roasted grain and herbal bitterness finishing with lots of licorice and a light alcohol. Medium to heavy body with moderate carbonation. A very well done porter which is definitely worthy.

50 cL bottle at home. Pours dark brown to pitch black with a medium tanned head. Aroma has licorice, bread, rye, molasses and some alcohol. Taste is quite sweet with a lot of licorice, some molasses, dark chocolate, alchohol and some roasted malts, Medium to full bodied with a soft carbo giving it a velvety texture. A bit too much licorice for me, but nice stuff nonetheless.

Rund malziger Antrunk, intensiv mit leichter Süße und gänzlich ohne Alkoholnoten. Schokoladig, getreidig, zum Ende passend aber intensiv trocken. Mir zu dumpf, sonst gut! 11/12/11/11//11

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, nr Gent, Belgium. Consumed at hone Sunday 16th February 2014 Pours almost black on colour with a slim tan coloured head. Nice nose with some chocolate, roastiness and cocoa showing. Milk chocolate in mouth with some sticky chocolate fudge cake, quite indulgent. Its a bit creamy with some hoppy bitterness shing out from behind the chocolatey veil. A good beer. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Hells yea! This is megaballs deep. Smellz pretty good but his one is all about making my tongue turgid. Almost an impy stout. Creamu with the perfect amount of carbonation, soft and fat in the mouth is easier to take than hard and stiff. Some berry fruit that is not buried by the slightly bitter chocolate, solid roasted goodness, backend sweetness, brown sugar. Salivating lots. Super duper good! Faint anise and spots of ashtray. Just wonderful. Usually I’m all about aroma but not this time. Not even bothering. This tastes excellent and worth the extra skrilla.

Lovely porter, full on mouthfeel with lots of spices and toasty flavours. Looks amazing in the glass, lots of body, chocolate, coffee and some fruit. Great porter!

A dark brown to black beer, with a nice light brown head. In the nose there is coffee, malt, fruit, cherry, alcohol and hoppy. It is a medium to full bodied beer, with a very nice corbanation. The taste is coffee, chocolate, fruity and some bitter and sweet from the hops. The aftertaste is long coffee and chocolate, with a bitter finish. A very nice porter, close to a stout, very nice!! Perhaps the best from Nogne o! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

coffee, woody, earthy, floral, brown foam, black, medium bitterness, full body, sticky, average carbonation, bitter, This is my first attempt to rate a beer. It’s a easy porter to drink and I love the strong bit,ter after taste along with the coffee sensation.

Pours a dark brown with a khaki head, smells very earthy (the rye) along with a nice dose of malt in the background. Taste of rye a long with some coffee along with maltyness, a lot of rye though.
