No head and all almost. Coffee and some roasted flavor, a little tiny bit of sourness. Smooth as silk very easy to drink for the strength and bigness. Good. Serving:Bottle

On cask at Håndverkerstuene
Dark brown, black in glass, very little head (because of the cask i guess). Smells powerfully of earthy tones, roasted malts and coffee. Taste is heavy maltym nice medium sweetness, alot of roast and coffee. Also some nice tastes i can’t identify. Full bodied, flat carbonation, very very oily feel. Nice heavy bitter finish, quite hoppy, earthy tones and coffee bitterness. I very nice beer that i want to try from keg or bottle as well

Bottle. This is a killer porter with the nice dry dustiness of rye on the side.

Sample from tap, CBF 2012. Pitch black colour with a dark brown head. Sweet and roasted aroma with malt, caramel, rye and bread. Sweet taste with malts, roasted notes, chocolate and rye. Full body with an oily texture. Long lasting, bitter finish. The best experience at this festival.

On tap at the Farmer’s Cabinet for beer week. Aroma is amazing. I described it as Wookie Jack without the hops. Great stinging rye with a good chocolate roasty back. Pours black with a very small white head. The taste is unbelievable. Rye, chocolate, licorice, caroway, coffee, and pepper. I would love to share this beer with everyone.

A nice well rounded brew overall with a dark completely opaque black body and tan head. The nose is rich and roasted with big boisterous coffee and rye toast notes. A bit sweet and dessert like with sweet chocolate and buent espresso flavours. Overall a warm finish with lingering roasted bitterness. A nice brew!

Pours a dark black color with no head. Good lacing. Mostly chocolate and roasted malt in the aroma with a hint of some spice. Taste has a slight sweetness, moderate bitterness. Smooth chocolate with a slightly spicy rye finish. A bit thin in the mouthfeel but makes this a very easy to drink imperial porter. Really good.

Deep, dark brown/black pour with a smaller brown head. Aroma is dark fruits, some coffee, chocolate and spicy hops. Taste is some mocha, chocolate, sweet caramel, spicy/sour from the rye, roasted malts, earthy hops. Overall, it was ok, but not a great brew due to the fact that the rye just didn’t work perfectly for me in the finish.
