4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Pours clear, very dark reddish brown, almost black. Forms a very nice, light brown head that sits for quite some time and leaves a nice lacing on the sides of the snifter. Aromas on the nose are dominated by spices, pepper and a dry, dusty smokiness and woody aromas too. The alcohol content is amazingly not that noticeable on the aromas. Aromas on the tongue are quite similar to those already mentioned, but with a nice dark tinge to it. The taste is semi-sweet, with a nice somewhat dry finish, and a lingering aftertaste. The mouthfeel is surprisingly thin for a hefty and complex porter like this, but in a good way. This beer is excellent; one of the best I’ve had.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Well this is an incredible beer! The aroma is sweet and spicy, fruity and of chocolate. Pours as a thick black vessel with a cascading yet restrained brown sugar coloured head which dissipates to a thin ring around the glass. Tastes sweet and peppery with full chocolate malt character, smooth earthy hop notes and a lasting rich fruity malt finish. Full bodied with a thick oily texture that makes this like velvet on the tongue. Overall this is a truly decadent beer, rich and smooth and very complex, incredible!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Super bonne!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pitch black beer with a pretty solid tan head, leaves some lacing. Complex aroma: chocolate, coffee dark malts. Taste: sweet, slightly smokey alcohol, bitter fenolic Moutfeel: soft, a bit oily, effervescent. Although it appears a bit too sweet in my opinion, still a excellent and well-brewed beer.

Very nice porter with strong cola aroma. Also some coffee. A bit smokey too. Solid and good beer. Probably Norways best brewery. Not cheap either. This one was about 11$ in Norway.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draught. Soft notes of nuts and chocolate. Porter notes and rye recognizable but generally a bit flat taste. Velvety and oily texture, well hidden alco. Nice for beginning imperial porter road.
