3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Visual: Pours very dark brown with a smallish dissipating head, a very thin layer of retention, some lacing, lots of streams only visible near the surface. Lots of sediment in the last pour.
Nose: sweet caramel malts. (lvl-6)-pungency
Attack: deep sweet malts, bitter hops
Mid-palate: (lvl-7)-sweetness, (MAIN) thick caramel malts, brown sugar, chocolate, mild fig/date
Finish: bold bitter hops, bittersweet mild-roast malty finish
Summary: Very bold, heavy and well-hopped; it does attain and keep your attention, as advertised. A good showcase of caramel malts with hops.

Amazing! Thanks to our scandanavian brothers for concocting this insane IIPA. Hoppy as buggery and an alcohol punch worthy of a kick up the ass that all beer drinkers need. Well done Norway for this strange, faro away, magical brew. Thank you from the other end of the earth.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
0,5 l bottle
Appearance: Deep mahogany color with an offwhite head of 1,5 finger which drops back to a ring.
Aroma:oasted malt nose, fruity, f light ruity and resin hops burned sugar.
Taste: bitter and sweet fruit taste , overpowered by caramel and resin hoppy notes Alcohol rounding, .. Quite complex and nice. overall but refined It doesn’t seem that complex on first sight. Quite refined.
Nice soft carbonation, above average body.
I can understand the mislabeling a Barley Wine and IPA, because supridingly it meets somewhere in the middle. It’s sweet but not the sweetness that most barley wine has and the resinous hops are clearly IPA like. And lass barley wine like.
Interresting brew, which I would highly recommend to try if you like one of the styles.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours dark amber-brown-ish, clear. Displays a solid head which dissipates after a while, yet leaves some nice lacing. Bouquet consisting of a blend of sweet and bitter fragrances, overpowered by caramel and resiny notes. Taste is solidly hoppy and bitter, proves to be based on American hops. Extensive, astringent finish. Delicious, though refined

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
One of their better beers. Complex aroma of sweet malt, honey and floral hops. Copperish color with a slight cloudiness and nice thin head. Crisp and somewhat heavy palate as to be expected. It finished quite dry. Nice blend of strong flavors that were evened by the carbonation. Hop bitter finish precluded by sweet malts and alcohol. Caramel and wood notes as well. Very tasty.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Beige dense 2-finger plus head, spangled laceworks, dark brown body with red tones, hazy I think.
Scents of fruity hops, dusty malts, leather and hints of raspberries.
Tastes dark roasted malts, chocolate hops, soup of fermented berries.
Slightly flourish on palate, half dry, smoothly carbonated.
Finishes with roasted malts, chocolate notes, leaves, hops, peels of berries.
Overall as an imperial IPA. (Brown 50cl bottle abv10% #1089 BBf09.12.18 b@Vinmonopolet Tromsø.)
