4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Yes,its No. 100, from Nøgne Ø a small step for humenkind, but big for me. Had this plenty of times, but saved this beer for me and ratebeer.com. Breewd 02 .04.13, batch 945. It pours dark brown, blackish with lasting beige head. Aroma is mix of all good, hoppy stouty, roasted malty fruityness with chocalate and spice. Taste much is muche the same, adding sitrus, dried fruits, coffee and vinious. Velvet moutfeel, sweet and bitter lasting finish. I will re-rate again and again. Thank you Nøgne Ø!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
500ml bottle. Pours a clear dark garnet with a tan head. Smells great. Dried fruit, alcohol, caramel, molasses, resinous notes. The taste is sweet with notes of molasses, caramel, dried fruits, some heat from the alcohol, with good bitterness from the resinous, mineral heavy hops. Serious stuff.

Bottle->snifter. Murky brown with thin offwhite head. A: floral and pine hops, sweet caramel malt, dark fruit. T: boozy, with toasted malt, pitted fruit, raisins, anise. Bittersweet and biting palate. Complex, interesting, initially rough around the edges. Improves through the glass.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Rating a fresh bottle, brewed on 27th of June, making the bottle little less than three months old. The colour is reddish brown with a beige head. The aroma is caramelly sweet and little fruity. The taste has caramel sweetness, saltiness, resin and pine. The body is pretty full and sticky. The finish is long and bitter. It’s a solid double IPA, but maybe a bit one-dimensional, or maybe I had worn out my palate before this. However, I will do a re-rate of an older bottle to see how it ages.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured into a pint glass as dark amber brown with a nice beige head that dissipates into nice lacing.
Aroma of sweet toffee hoppy boozes.
Caramel sweetness up front with a piney overtones.
Can see why this could be a borderline barleywine. Rich in flavor. Reminds me of #500 but much richer.
Happily consume this brew any day any time. This brewery does it well so often. *happy dance*

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap, dark hazy amber pour with small off white head. Aroma of caramel, hops, pine, grapefruit, yeast and fruits. Taste is very sweet, caramel, toffee, roasted malts, vanilla, grapefruit and massive hops. A little cloying and heavy syrupy hop finish, seems to be unbalanced, not quite sure how I feel about this one, my brain fighting with my tastebuds!

2.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
50cl or 5dl or 500ml or whatever it’s called in Europe bottle. Pours deep translucent copper with a buttload of floaties, even at the beginning of the pour. Nose of malt, berry hops, caramel. Flavour of berries, caramel, some alcohol. Quite smooth, seems like a cross between a British barleywine and American IPA. I honestly loved the flavour and taste, but the amount of flocculated yeast in this was insane, if I’m paying almost ten bucks for a small bottle I shouldn’t be getting the bottom-of-the-tank stuff. Fortunately I just had this at home but if I brought it do a dinner party I’d be embarrassed by the stuff. Thus, gotta mark down the overall as I can’t give it higher than 2.x.
