2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark brown color, lots of tan foam. Great nose on this one. Sweet and complex, chocolate and dark fruits. Slick and boozy. Kind of thin on the body, the alcohol really dominates the flavor very hoppy and the alcohol and the hops add a somewhat astringent charachter.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Barley Wine might be a bit too strong, this is more of a double IPA, double digit alcohol, but still not into the barley wine range in intensity. Lovely hop aroma of floral and grapefruit notes, enough malt backbone to withstand it though, delicious brew

500ml bottle through Bieropholie. Dark mahogany with a light brown head that fades to a thin ring. Raisin, alcohol, fairly fruity malt, bit of buckwheat honey; moderate+ carbonation and full body, slightly sweet but then becomes bitter and alcoholic, fruity and dry on the finish with a nice vinous ending. Enjoyable and warming.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
500ml bottle. Pours a darker brown with a medium beige head of foam. Decent retention. The aroma is a thick grainy, woody, dark fruity presence. In the taste, I get some oak, raisin, and some alcohol. A little papery. Thicker body and mouthfeel. My mouth actually feels a little sticky from drinking it. Lighter carbonation.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared at home with friends. Snifter. Pours an orange-brown with a thin head. Aroma of malts, mild hops, fruits and bread. The taste was less powerful than I was expecting with a dry hoppness, malts, some fruits and cereal. Medium body, medium carbonation. Not bad, but not really a barleywine I guess.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Scorched orange pour, cloudy, a little light on head but what’s there sticks to the glass nicely. Deeply resinous with big caramel malty notes behind and some dried fruit as well. All of the same things apply on the palate with a significant sweetness. The high ABV is fairly well hidden although there’s some heat that comes with the bitterness in the finish.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
500ml bottle at home. Pours very dark brown with a tight creamy head. Big aromas of treacle and dark stone fruit. Nice citrus bite on the taste, cutting through the sweet maltiness. Medium to full body, creamy texture and long finish. Good stuff.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
pours a dark mahogany with a decent sized head. Aroma is caramel, honey, heavy malt. Taste is very sweet, decently bitter, no hop really, and lots of caramel and butterscotch. Its a nice barley wine and a terrible DIPA.

Not very intensive but so complex aroma and taste. Well hopped. Bitter and sweet, very thick and with long aftertaste. Love it.
