COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our 100th batch, brewed for the enjoyment of the brewers, but popular demand forced us to release it commercially. Most enjoyable in a comfortable chair in front of a roaring fire.

Recommended serving temperature 16°C/61°F Ingredients: Maris Otter, wheat, and chocolate malt; Columbus, Chinook, and Centennial hops; English ale yeast, and our local Grimstad water.

23,5°P, 80 IBU, 10% ABV.

Editor’s note: Even though the label says "Barley Wine" in the States, the brewery usually says it’s brewed to be an IIPA. The American label was supposedly a glitch. In Europe it’s sold as an IIPA. But to save the admin crew some time dealing with user feedback, it’s listed as a Barley Wine.

500 ml bottle. Pours a dark copper color with a thicky foamy head that fades slowly. Very nice head retention and a little lacing is left. Very interesting aroma. Dark fruits, toffee, nuts, pine, citrus, caramel candy, and molasses. Taste is moderately sweet with a light bitterness. More malt than hops, sweet caramel, toffee and dark fruits. Hops show up more in the finish, mostly pine and citrus. Medium to thick body, very creamy mouthfeel. Overall, pretty unique. Kinda like a mix between a Belgian Strong and a West-coast Barleywine.

Oj det här var bra. Söt och fruktig aroma. Massiv fällning. Aroman var lite lik TNG dock med inte lika mycket krut. Jäst, lakris.

Bottle - 500ml. Hazy, dark copper body with an average off-white foamy/creamy head. Sharp hoppy aroma with citrusy, coriander, and woody hints. Alcohol is well hidden. Its sharp, robust, complex hoppy taste carries woody, brown sugar, malty, and citrusy notes. Ends with a long, strong, warming bitter finish. Awesome!

On tap at the Porter. Dark brown pour, with a medium, beige head. Very strong caramel and molasses up front, with some toast, licorice, and light smoke. Very sweet and chewy, with light smokiness and light bitterness. Heavy body, syrupy, and a little chalky. Overall, this is a big, hoppy, malt bomb of beer.

Poured a cola brown with a red tint and khaki head. Smell is dates, caramel, dark fruit, candi sugar, and hops. Taste is sweet yet balanced upfront, dates and brown sugar in the middle, with a light bitter finish. Nice creamy texture and medium carbonation

Very interesting aroma of sweet malts with sweet fruits like mango hitting hard too. It's definitely hoppy and definitely malty which makes this an interesting combo. The appearance is excellent. Dark and clear, good lacing. I would say that this is one of the most interesting beers I've tried. Lots happening with a very good palate. Fruity hops with a tinge of grassiness. Then this is modulated by molasses and dark sweetness. Delicious beer. I would say that the taste is ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dyp mørk gyllen farve med gyllent skum. God maltet duft med spor av bek. Smak av malt, humle, frukt og rødvin. Lite carbonert. Vinmonopolet.
