COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is brewed with 100% Scottish peat smoked whisky malt. This malt generates an intense smokey flavor and aroma. In fact its intensity makes this beer almost undrinkable, unless you blend it with other ingredients. We recommend to use this product to give a balanced smoked note to foods and drinks as oysters, sauces, marinades, sausages, fatty fish, chocolate and dark beer. Improve your world by giving it a hint of smoke.

Bottle from a trade with Cunningham, huge thanx for that rare one!!
Pours hazy orange with a high, creamy white head. Smell has tons of smoke and some whiskey, as well as some blackforest ham. Starts with a bunch of smoke, paired with ham, whiskey and a sweetish yeast note. Middle part has also tons of smoke, sweet malt notes and again lots of blackforest ham. Goes into a (what a surprise) strong smokey finish with some whiskey and again some smoked ham. The most smoked beer for me so far, but it’s not really undrinkable. I like it :-)

Bottle. Unclear body, small white head. Aroma is Islay whisky. Flavour is much of the same, but there is also a sourish and yeasty hint. Smokey and light sweet finish. (07.02.2015)

Aromat to przede wszystkim mokre pogorzelisko!

Received in 2014 Secret Santa -- Small bottle poured into a beer flut, pours a hazy dim amber with little head. Aroma is unmistakable peat, I wouldn’t describe as strong or pungent as some Islay scotches, but it is definitely pronounced. The flavor is condensed malt the builds something for the peat and smoke to expose themselves on. This tastes like Laugivulin 16 in beer form, and I love it.

Yellowish orange beer with big foamy head on top. Leaves rings of lacing to the glass. Aroma has lots of smoke and peat. Like a piece of Scotland in your beer! Taste continues with the same things, peat and smoke. With some wooden notes here and there. Medium body with high carbonation. A different version of smoked beers, I really liked the peat in it. Another great brew from Nøgne Ø.

Tap@olutexpo14. Orange hazy. Intense peaty, sort of rye malty nose. And some yeast. And oranges. Full med bodied, soft texture. Peaty smoky, with some fruityness. Strange.. Clean, nice fine. Weird with the peats and fruits.

Draught @ OlutExpo 2014

Pours dark orange with a smooth head. Aroma of peat, wood, smoke, ash, leather and ham. Taste is sweet, syrupy and woody with loads of peat, smoke, ash and leathery notes. Finish is sweet, stuffy and peaty with some wood, leather and smoke. Quite heavy and interesting.
