COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is brewed with 100% Scottish peat smoked whisky malt. This malt generates an intense smokey flavor and aroma. In fact its intensity makes this beer almost undrinkable, unless you blend it with other ingredients. We recommend to use this product to give a balanced smoked note to foods and drinks as oysters, sauces, marinades, sausages, fatty fish, chocolate and dark beer. Improve your world by giving it a hint of smoke.

Bottle at home. Clear golden/amber - white head. High peated, sweet notes, toasted, light citrus, caramel, ok fresh notes, bandaid, smokey. Lovely - acturally rather dirinkable.

250 ml bottle @ WPBF 2013.
Pours a murky hazy golden colour with small head. Aroma is full-on peaty, berries and juniper. Flavour is peat, meat, berries, hay, wood, grass and very low bitterness. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a dry, peaty, tar finish. Rather interesting and this isn’t as over-the-top I was expecting.

25 cl bottle @ wPBF. Bottle #04171. Batch #879: brewed 25.10.2012, BBE 25.10.2014. Thanks oh6gdx!
Aroma is rather nice with smoke and peat. Like an islay whisky without stinging alcohol. Flavour has lots of peat, some smoky notes and hints of ash. Also some fruity notes with peaches. Quite intensive, but not as hardcore as I expected. Actually this is quite pleasant.

25 cl bottle @ wPBF’13. Bottle #04171. Batch #879. Brewed 25.10.2012. BBE 25.10.2014.
Pours hazy golden color with a minimal head. Aroma of quite strong peat notes, some hay, malts, some smoky notes and wood. Flavor of wood, peat, hay and malts. Dry palate. The peat is a bit too strong on this one.

Bottled (thanks Cunningham!). Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is butter and clean peated malty aroma. Flavour is peated malts, mild smoked wood and some slight bready notes.

Small offwhite head doesn’t last. Amber body made hazy by small particles. Intense smoky gasoline aroma with lingonberry bush and pine forest floor notes. Sweet charcoal smoke and pine forest floor taste where nothing much else can be made out. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel initially, but it leaves some heat, and eventually an almost burning feeling. Dryish fruity lingonberry aftertaste with propane and smoky whisky notes. Smoky flavours linger for a long time. A seriously weird beer, unlike anything I have ever had. Surprised it’s so pale and sweet. (0.33l bottle, wine monopoly, web order.)

250ml bottle, batch 879 from Vinmonopolet Langnes. Fragile white head at the top of a near-clear amber coloured body. Robust and very delightful aroma of peated malts, semi-dry. Peaty taste together with creosol and burning grass supported by ripe fruits. Lingering finish, mid sweet and mid dry. Noticeable but well integrated alcohol. Tasty beer with a gorgeous aroma (Tromsø, 13.04.2013).

Bottle. Pours hazy golden with a smallish white head. Heavily smoked malts aroma as expected. Hints of sweet malts, covered by overwhelming smoked meat flavours. An interesting beer in all its extremity.

25 cl bottle from local vinmonopol. Golden orange, some sediment. Small head. Aroma is old leather and peated single malt whisky. The flavor is, as expected, very peated. Tons of smoke and leather here. Naturally it makes me think of smoked meat. Long lasting flavor. Very nice, and absolutely not undrinkable to me, but I’ll be sipping it slowly. Nice medium mouthfeel and low carbonation. I really like smokey flavors in general, so this is a fine beer for me.

If you can’t get enough of the smoke flavor: This beers goes well with smoked salmon and Bowmore whisky! Balance it out with cottage cheese or similar if you feel like you’re eating and drinking a bonfire.
