4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle. Pours copper coloured, with light head. Hoppy, floral, caramel, citrus. Boozy. Everything you’d wish for. Bitter finish with the hops lasting long. Medium to heavy body. Massive beer. An absolute must try. And try. And try...

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. What can one say? This is an imperial variety of an imperial ipa - in all aspects of that term. Divine.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a dark hazy orange with a small white head. Big aroma of dark fruits. Taste follows the nose with a small bit of hoppy bitterness. This bottle got lost in the mix so it may be a little old but regardless, the flavor is unique when compared to other DIPA’s. A little booziness is starting to be present as it warms. Would like to try a new bottle if I can find one but this old one is still good.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: APR 27, 2015 0,5l bottle. Second rating. First one left me disappointed as I was expecting a lighter brew. This time I was prepared. Amber. Slightly off-white, two-fingered head. Lovely hoppy aroma with sweet yeasty tones. Taste is heavy on the alcohol, but the aftertaste is fruity and nice. The bitterness and hops drown somewhat in the ABV, but it’s quite pleasant. Not a cool, summer brew, though. For that I’d still go with the standard, non-Imperial IPA from Nøgne Ø.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Poured from bottle to a shaker showing very hazy and cloudy dark caramel with practically no head a just a few mm of white foam.
The nose shows a lot of sweet caramel and honey-like malts with barely perceivable hints of pine.
The palate is medium bodied with medium carbonation showing a lot of sweetness reminiscent of honey, caramel, and corn. The typical sharp IPA bitterness is extremely toned down by the sweetness leaving a very high bitterness that seems to come out of nowhere. The sweetness is also a poor mix of the above rather than a straight forward sugary cane sweetness. The flavors seem to be everywhere without any focus as the sweetness switches from too many different types at once.

4.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours beatiful orange, nice lacing. Aroma: herbs, pine tree, some citrus and a touch of honey. Taste: really nice heavy malt foundation. On top of that tons of pine tree, a touch of peach and some grass. This is a mighty, thic, super drinkable ipa. The well hidden 10% ABV (only a pleasant alcoholic element present in the taste) makes it extremly dangerous. Fantastic stuff.
