Asian Pale Ale is a light and refreshing ale. It has generous amounts of lemongrass, added late in the brewing process to ensure that we capture its light, crisp and tangy aromas. This beer work well as a thirst quenching beverage, as well as paired with asian food, salads and light meat dishes. We recommend to pour cautiously to leave the natural sediments behind. Recommended serving temperature 8 deg C / 47 deg F. Ingredients: Malted barley, malted wheat, hops, lemongrass, English ale yeast and our local Grimstad water. Recommended serving temperature 8 deg C / 47 deg F

Draught @ Nøgne Ø
Pours cloudy deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, citrus and lots of lemongrass. Taste is light sweet and light to medium bitter with a long lemongrass finish. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

couleur dorée trouble; petite mousse blanche; arômes fruités (citron); goût malté et fruité (citron), un peu de levure et d’herbes; légèrement douce avec une petite amertume intéressante; raffraichissante

Lots of lemongrass, good amount of citrus. Had this on cask. More full flavored than many similar beers.

Bomber from CBB. Nogne Asian pale ale 4.5% a light cloudy gold with a soapy off-white head. The nose is zesty fresh lemongrass. The taste is crisp lemony biscuit, very clean & appetizing. Very soft sweet lemon finish. Yum. Medium bodied with a soft mouthfeel. Great.

Cask at the Gatehouse (JDW), Highgate, London on 23rd April 2015. Crystal clear amber with off-white foam giving full lacing. Hoppy, malty aromas with pepper notes. Hoppy in-mouth with gentle malts, touches of coriander and leafiness. Nutty, fruity finish with slight savoury notes. Medium-bodied with a zingy mouthfeel.

A worthwhile pint and would have a few more if time had allowed, never had lemongrass in a an ale but wouldvrecommend giving it try

That’s OK, but far from the best I’ve had from this brewery. Colour is faded burnt orange with a small white head. Medium to thin body. Pleasant but restrained hoppy fruit aroma. The tastes are in there, including lemongrass, but you have to look a bit too hard for them.

10.04.2015. 0,5l Bottle. Kiwi Isvik, Skjold i Vindafjord. Golden orange colour with white head. Unclear and murky. Strong hoppy aromas. Spruce and herbs. There is also this lemon touch, that fits in pretty good. Body is kind of medium, and there could have been more strength. Both with more malt and more alcohol. Good flavours, good lemonflavours as well. Good.

Bottle. Aroma has tea (Lipton), hops but hardly any malts - as well as some citra. Taste is medium - appearance clear. Refreshing taste and the lemongrass shines through against the Nøgne ø generic ’wall of hops’; also with a hint of ginger towards the end. Medium carbonation. Nice!

The citrus hit you at the end which is a wonderful feeling when this golden brew goes down the throat. Its just 4,5 avp but that doesnt hide away the tastes at all! Just close your eyes and imagine you are on a beach..
