COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s note: Originally launced as bottle conditioned Kos på Groos as a festival beer for the Skral rock/pop festival in 2008. Spring 2009 it was relaunched as Blonde, tap only. For the Free Port Days in Kristiansand June 2009 it was sold bottle conditioned once more, this time with an extra addition of Cascade hops, under the name Porto Franco. Released on bottle as Blonde January 2011.

On the label of Kos på Groos: Kos På Groos nytes best avkjølt i sola mens man opplever god musikk.

On the label of Porto Franco: Øl har lange tradisjoner til sjøs.

Bottle, bought @ Humletorvet, Slagelse.
Muddy pale yellow with a fine, staying, white head. ’Aroma has mild cloves, sweet malts, light banana and mild green apples. Medium carbonation, fairly spritzy. Light but good dryness. Flavour has light pepper, some crisp malts, light watery metallic notes. Good, staying, grassy bitterness and dryness. Quite delicious for such a low ABV.

0.5l bottle. Pours a almost yellow hazy body with a big fluffy and big-bubbled head leaving big lacings. Fresh and slightly fruity nose with wheat, flower leafs, coreander, slightly citrusy and some grey-orange. Well carbonated and a bit thin bodied. Tastes lightly yeasty, thin citrus, malt, lightly bitter and hints of orange zest. This is a refreshing, light drinkable and a nice blonde. Would assume this is perfect for a hot summer day!

50cl traded bottle from Papsoe. This is the Skral version. Pours a light, hazy golden yellow with a big white head and serious lacing. Aroma is lemony citrus and light grain with just the slightest hint of hops. Very clean and refreshing taste that is definitely Belgian inspired. Pretty tasty.

Tap @ Naboen, Bergen. Pours a pale, hazy orange body with a thin, lacey white top. Smell is fresh bakery bun with yeasty hints. Taste is grapefruit, orange peel and mellow hop bitterness, with hints of yeast. Light and pleasant, though not outstanding in any way.

On tap at the nighthawk diner, Pours very light, one might say blond, with a nice big white head. Tasted twice at the ’hawk, first time nose was really, really sulfuric and put me off a bit, but the second time, the nose was so intensely perfume and floral I couldn’t believe it was the same beer. Lots of flowers, smells like someone had sprayed a perfume in the beer in a good natural way, not synthetic french brothel sort of way. Taste is spicy, with some nice subtle hop notes. Finish is long with a distinct sour twang that is just enough to beg another sip. Really good stuff. Perfect summer beer no doubt.

Very easy drinking hop bomb. A crisp finish. Clear yellow. Would love this as a session beer.
