COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s note: Originally launced as bottle conditioned Kos på Groos as a festival beer for the Skral rock/pop festival in 2008. Spring 2009 it was relaunched as Blonde, tap only. For the Free Port Days in Kristiansand June 2009 it was sold bottle conditioned once more, this time with an extra addition of Cascade hops, under the name Porto Franco. Released on bottle as Blonde January 2011.

On the label of Kos på Groos: Kos På Groos nytes best avkjølt i sola mens man opplever god musikk.

On the label of Porto Franco: Øl har lange tradisjoner til sjøs.

English:Blonde Ale is refreshing anytime, but especially after working outside om a hot summer day.Serve at 6 degrees C and pair with seafood and other light meals. Nøgne Ø ales are bottle conditioned, so pour carefully if you do not want to disturb the yeast sediments in the bottle.

Bottle from Ica Halden, Norway (probably my favourite beer in a norwegian grocery store!). Light hazy yellow colour with a white head. Fruity and a bit citric nose. Lovely fresh flavour with a nice mix of citric hopps, fruitiness and nice moderate sweet malt background

Bottle courtesy of papso. Pours a hazy amber with a nice white head. Smells of light citrus, dry malt. Tastes dry and earthy wit some wildflowers, a touch of sweetness. This reminds me of Duvel. Mellow bitter finish. Enjoyable.

Bottle 50 cl. Poured hazy golden in colour with fluffy whitish head. Spices, yeast and citrus in aroma. Light hoppy bitterness and citrus with wheat in flavour. Saison meets weissbier. Very tasty and great beer for the summertime. Finish is just a bit grassy bitter with mild spicy hints. Great brew.

Golden yellow beer wtih a big and blond head. Aroma is very refreshning and pleasant, fruitness, lemon, oranges, spicyness and corinader. Taste is also quite similar and pleasant as aroma, fruits, lemon and sourness, spicies and grapefruity bitterness. Quite light to drink, but fitts nicely into this beer. Very tastefull, light and refreshning beer with lots of taste also when cold and with low alc.%, great beer.

UPDATED: OCT 30, 2011 On keg at Bacchus, Newcastle. Pours a cloudy blonde colour with a decent white head. Reminds me of a saision with lemon citrus and pepper characters. Aroma also of caramel, candy sugar, white pepper, hay and grass. Flavours of caramel, little sweet and smoky, mild tar quality and some grassy hops. A little thin with a foamy mouth-feel. Moderate carbonation and a mild CO2 prickle. Peppery lemon citrus linger. Had this again in bottle. Pours a clear blonde colour. Beautiful floral aroma with big juicy pineapple and melon hops. Similar flavours and a nice chewy mouth-feel. Definite lemon and white pepper saison notes. Going to have to up my rating from (737316). Very nice!

Bottle, from a trade with Cunningham. Somewhat hazy golden beer with an ok white head. Yeasty perfume aroma, grapefruit, citrus, lemongrass, floral, pepper, apples, metallic notes. Floral citrus flavor, grapefruit, yeast, perfume, long nice bitterness, but also some biscuits and pears, pepper, grass, some pine needles. Bitter fruity finish with citrus, perfume and pepper.
