Winey, oak & chocolate nose, Deep red brown colour bordering on black. Best flavour intergration I’ve had this year - there is a definate red wine and oak presence up front but then its a complex marriage of dark malts and fruit. Alcohol is so well hidden you don’t notice it. Really good stuff - I’m going back to Craft and getting a carton of this - screw you guys.

Opplevelsen crescenderer for hver munnfull. Et rikt, dynamisk og harmonisk ensemble i stjerneklasse. Bravissimo!

25cl bottle from Vinmonopolet. Batch 866B. Brewed 2012-12-20. Best before 2017-12-20.It poured a dark brown colour with a red hue and a medium big foamy head that settles down fast. Aroma is fruity and sweet. Definitely notes of the red wine barrels. Oak. Floral with some vinous notes. Flavour is sharp, but not directly bitter. Vinous, bordering on vinegar. Oak and red wine barrels again. Dark red fruits. Some caramel. Rough mouthfeel. Short aftertaste. A decent beer, but not something I’d buy a lot of.

25 cl bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika. Bottle nr 00280. Pours dark brown with a medium offwhite head that leaves a nice lacing. Extreme complex aroma with strong notes of red wine, oak, malt, dark dried fruits, sherry and caramel. Flavour is complex too with light bitterness, medium sweetness, light dryness, soft carbonation, very full body and a long complex aftertaste with redwine, oak and some fruits. Strange but a very cool one.

Clear medium brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, sweet malt, fruity, berry - grape - red wine, light to moderate roasted. Flavour is light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, berry - wine sweet, chocolate, fruity, sharp. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130405]

Medium beige head. Hazy deep dark brown body. Earthy vinous wild berry aroma with chocolatey funky notes. Sweet earthy vinuous chemical taste with wild berry and fruit notes. Full body. Hot, slightly sharp mouthfeel. Sweetish earthy roasty candy aftertaste with toffee and fruit notes. Wildly unusual, unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. Interesting, and fun to try, but not really that good. (0.33l bottle, wine monopoly, web order.)

250ml bottle. Pours a really deep, brilliant mahogany, with a thick beige head. Spicy, vinous aroma, malt, caramel, wood, vanilla, cloves, red fruit, coconut. Off-dry, full bodied, mid bitterness, creamy CO2. Spicy, faintly sour (appropriately so), wood, caramel, vanilla, chocolate, herbs, earth. Very complex, really nice. (2013-04-19)

Pure magic! Thick, brown head that tastes both acidic and bitter - lovely! Aroma of both tropical fruits and darker berries and fruits. (Raisins?) Oily and winy (from barrels...?) texture. The balance between bitterness and sourness is perfect, and the warmer this beer gets, the more the dark and bitter take over. Tastes of licorice too, but in general the taste is pleasantly refreshing with hints of sweetness. The perfectly bitter aftertaste lasts "forever".
