Poured medium reddish brown with a frothy beige head. Aroma of dark chocolate, roast malt and coffee beans. Light body, flavour much as the aroma, reasonably smooth with a dry, bitter finish.

UPDATED: AUG 11, 2013 Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a decent, latte-colored head. Aroma is coffee and roast, an English-style porter, but more intense and somewhat more roasted. Some semisweet dark bread. Taste is rather British porter as well. A lot of coffee, some roast and dark bread, slight malt breadiness. Light raisin. Both aroma and flavor are very intense for the ABV so kudos for that. However, the palate is a bit thin and watery, though with good carbonation. Nøgne Ø has put a lot of aroma and flavor into something with so little alcohol.

friskt tynt sittende skum. god duft av krydder, malt, karamell og rosiner. Brun fin farge. Grei smak av rosiner, men ikke den helt store for meg. Tror nok andre liker denne bedre.

Dark brown, slightly reddish beer with a nice creamy beige head leaving lacing on the glass. The aroma has caramel, toffee, bread, nuts and coffee. The aroma is almost a bit roasty like a stout or a porter. The taste begins with sweetness of the caramel and toffee and ends up with a dry, nutty, woody and moderately bitter finish. The body feels full at the begin of a sip but ends with a watery mouthfeel with medium to high carbonation.

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown color with a smallish off-white head on it. Nose is malt forward with a little toasting and caramel coming through, but just a hint of spicy bitterness. Spices come through more in the taste, with the toasting also being salient. Decent drink.
