3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a very deep ruby, almost brown, with a good size mostly-lasting off-white head. Nice aroma of roasted malt, nuts, some chocolate, spices and hops -- this is a damn fine smelling Brown Ale! Flavour of dark toasty malt, chocolate, nuts and herbal hops with a light bitter finish. Nice body, medium at least. Very good, this is one of the best Brown Ales I’ve ever had.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle... Deep, dark orange ale with a small, frothy, off-white head. Sweet, chocolaty aroma with toasted barley and nutty notes. Sweet, malty flavor balanced nicely by a snappy hop bitterness; moderately sweet and moderately bitter; buttery milk chocolate and toffee with a sprinkle of ground cashews. Medium-bodied and astringent with fizzy carbonation. Lightly sweet, moderately bitter, dry finish.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured a full brown color, thin tan head, but excellent retention due to significant carbonation (the opposite end of the brown ale spectrum as New Castle!). The aroma was coffee, roasty malts, some ash, caramel, and molasses. The flavor followed the aroma fairly closely, though finishing with a mintiness. The mouthfeel was full, a touch on the sticky side for a brown. A pretty nice shot at the style, except for a slight chemical (more of a plastic than an oxidized or metal note) type flavor in the aftertaste or something.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
16.9oz, no date. Pours a clear dark amber brown with a one finger beige head that fades to a thin film rather quickly. Aroma has some roasted and toasted malts, light burnt plastic, and not really anything else. Flavor had a bit of earth in addition to all the aromas. The roasted malts took the forefront though. There was a bit of caramel malt sweetness, though not much. The finish was kinda woody and dry roasted malts. Low carbonation with a medium body. Burps burnt plastic. This was not a fantastic beer.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours murky brown with a fluffy (yet small) tan head that holds as a thin film. Aromas of medicinal herbs, roasty malt & ash, tart yeast, light alcohol, light florals and a touch of wood. Soft in the mouth finishing dry. Alot of diversity in the flavor. Herbal hops, roasted malt, a slight hint of sweetness but hops push forward... mildly medicinal but quite enjoyable.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cloudy brown color, hints of red with a thin, tan head. Strong aroma that is intensely earthy with caramel balancing and a nice overlay of milk chocolate...sounds nice does’nt it. Unfortunately as it warms it shows a lot of rubber band-like aromas that are akin to dead yeast cells similar to what is found in the aroma of Greene Kings beer these days. Flavor is not as good as the aroma. There is a distractijng winyness that undoes the palate. The aroma components are there but are overshadowed by the wine-like character and the thin, almost unsubstancial body. This is light, spicy, and quite flavorful for a beer of just over 4% ABV but the rubber-like, dead yeast cell really gains prominence as it warms. This probably should not have been shipped to the US. It is too small of a beer to make the trip. Overall points are high for what it could be.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Ruby/brown, off-white head. Nose is nutty toffee, plastic overpowers pretty much everything else. Flavor is brown sugar, malt, some nuttiness, cocoa.

3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured a darker than average brown. Had a nice frothy beige head that fell to a ring on the top center of the beer and stayed the duration.
Smell is just slightly roasty, not too much coming through here. Taste is nice. Decent medium bodied mouthfeel with a good amount of cocoa coming through as well. A nice solid brown ale. A little bigger tasting than your typical brown.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Poured a clear brown color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted sweet malt and woody aroma. Medium body. Solid balanced toasted flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Good complex brew.
