Bottle pours light brown and fairly clear with a pretty nice offwhite creamy head. Aromas of nuts, caramel, and a touch of chocolate. Flavor starts out with sweet caramel and nuts. A touch of chocolate and some roasted flavor touches your tongue before slight grassy hops finish this one off. Good medium body with slight carbonation. Very drinkable..

Bottle (500ml). Very deep clear ruby with an average frothy tan head. Excellent, if light aroma of nutmeats, roast caramel malt, chocolate toffee and cranberry. The taste is oddly lactic, but the nutty malt and tart fruit work with solid herbal hops to yield a balanced finish - and I get more alcohol in this than 4.5%! Slightly watery body, almost slippery mouthfeel, lightly acidic, with very soft carbonation - very easy to drink, though.

Bottle. Amber and red color with a small head. Aroma is chocolate and cocoa with some nuts and coffee. Taste is sweet but not cloyingly so. Nice bitterness is offset with caramel and chocolate. Thi is one of the best brown ales I’ve ever had. Very well done. I’djust like the alcohol kicked up a bit to cover some of the sweetness.

Bottled found in Cali, served in Newcastle Nut Brown Ale glass: Pour a chestnut hue topped by a large creamy beige head and had good lace. The aroma has notes of walnut and pecan, hint of caramel, smoked and chocolate malt, a flash of herbal hops, and a tad of earthy yeast ester. The taste starts roasted and nutty with a background interest of smoke and bittersweet cocoa. There is a dash of hop towards the finish along with some allspice but strictly there for decoration. The mouth feel is above average for the genre, medium-bodied and slick with a dry woody aftertaste. A solid entry into the fray of many sub par brown ales. This one is a keeper.
