Bottle: Pour was slight brown with a medium tan head. I took several whiffs of this and have little to say along the lines of smell. I got very very subtle notes of an earthy type smell, with maybe some dark fruit and hoppiness, but again, subtle at best. The taste was no different. I had a har time figuring out what flavors I was tasting because there was no taste there. As I continued to drink this beer, in became incredibly dry, which brought forth the missing flavor. I noted some nuttiness. Frankly, I was dissappointed. The only positive I can say here is that it’s easy drinking.

Pours a dark brown with very little head. Very faint smoky nuttiness on the nose. The flavor is quite powerful and makes up for the weak nose. Nice roasted flavors as well as some nuttiness and a hint of malty sweetness. the finish is unbelievably dry for your standard brown ale, but enjoyable. Paired this up with some choclate covered almonds, and it was fantastic.

Dark brown color with no head. Oddly enough, I could not pick up an aroma for squat. The first part of the "taste" is a bone sucking dryness that steals the life out of you. Quite nutty and earthy. A little smoke. Slight dusty hop. Quite a fine brown ale. Tasted way stronger than 4.5%

This may be the best brown ale I’ve yet quaffed. The pour is burnt sienna with a 1-finger khaki head and noted floaties flowing into my tulip glass. The aroma is roasty toasty caramel malt, brown sugar, some figs, even chocolate hints. The flavor is on the dry side, like a roasty dry porter, with some rauchy dark malty flavors coupled with brown sugar, chocoff, almonds, and hops. Complex palate with some heft, and more intertwining flavors as more sediment is added to the repours. Nogne O continues to impress the hell out of me.

Pour is a hazy reddish brown with a small head. Aroma of nutty malt , chocolate, and caramel. Flavors of sweet malt, nuts, chocolate, and caramel. A nice sweet and roasty flavor. Pretty good for a brown ale.

Bottle. Poured a deep and cloudy reddish/brown color with a huge sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, chocolate, and nuts. Tastes of caramel, toasted nuts, and chocolate. Thinner body.

A definite English brown, with session low 4.5%, English malting and some yeast. I succesfully employed this 500 ml. as a dessert beer. Though on the sweet side, a bit of bitterness to offset, yeast making an easy smooth mouthfeel and a bit like a Belgian without the want or need for spice.

Deep brown -red body with tan head. Nose had caramel, and chocolate hints. Mid level body with light chocolate and hop accent. another nice brew from a very good brewery.
